The game is heavily pay-to-win with powercreep the likes of which I haven’t seen anywhere else. It’s designed around causing the feeling of fear of missing out so you’ll spend money. The PvP modes are the most rewarding, and the least fun - in fact, they make you want to quit the game out of frustration. Do yourself a favor, and stay away.
Most of the characters dropped by gacha mechanics are useless garbage. New characters introduced always break the system. Pvp and some pve completely rigged for whales fishing for multiples of rares.
This game is really enjoyable. It’s great for newcomers to the series and people who’ve played the FE games. It’s pretty generous with orbs even though there are some droughts, but staying F2P is pretty easy. There’re new banners often and they aren’t shoving too much fates and awakening stuff in our faces which makes me happy. the story updates fairly often and the story has gotten much more interesting than it was in the first book.
The only reasons I won’t give this game a higher rating is that there’s been way too little demoting of heroes, clogging the 5* pool AND they've made orbs harder to get, basically trying to force someone to buying orbs which is bad publicity for the franchise as a whole.
