辿り着いたものに富と名声が与えられるというハイランド天上界の伝説。それを求めて人々はハイランド天上界を目指した。しかし、天上界へ繋がるハイランド遺跡の道中には恐るべき魔物が数多く存在し数多の人が命を失った。いつしか遺跡は絶望と呼ばれるようになった。
その絶望の遺跡を国主導で腕利きを集め、調査を依頼する事に。天才的な才能を持つ小学生、早乙女みゆきもその1人として遺跡の調査を始めるのだった。絶望を超えた先にある伝説の真偽とは。

迷宮のような遺跡を進み天上界を目指せ。
様々な戦術を持つキャラクター達を組み合わせて強敵に立ち向かおう。

戦闘メンバー5人は戦闘中以外いつでも変更可能。
通常ターン制のフロントビューバトルシステム。
通常雑魚敵のランダムエンカウントと強敵のシンボルエンカウントの複合エンカウント方式。

敵を倒して得られる素材で装備を作ろう。
スキルツリーシステム採用。敵を倒して得られるポイントを使用してスキルを習得、強化しよう。
RPGでの戦闘の得意不得意に合わせて複数の難易度を用意。
ダンジョンは複雑な迷路構造でギミックも多数待ち受けている。
プレイ時間は難易度ベーシック初見で35時間以上、チャレンジ初見は60時間以上を想定。
