That’s unnecessary friction/ time wasting for daily users. 3) Inflexibility: If you wish to follow more outlets/ topics, you technically can. Similar to point 2, these additional “Channels & Topics” is fixed in its position and must be located under “My Sports”, regardless of user preference. 4) Lack of Organisational Tools: Favourites and followed topics are organised by the time whence you followed them. You can technically manually move them around but there is no systematic process to sort them (eg alphabetically). This makes your followed topics chaotic and disorganised unless you pre-sort every single outlet/ topic you plan on following in a separate app (notes for example), then strategically add them reverse-alphabetically in News. Alas things have got worse. Apple must trust their AI but it’s woefully inadequate and now you cannot even report that stories are mis-categorised they trust it that much. I follow many channels, one of which is Liverpool FC. How stories about Wrexham, Arsenal, Chelsea and even worse Man U and other subjects I have “blocked” get into my news feed I don’t know. The app was becoming bad, now it’s pretty awful and in risk of being deleted. This app used to be ok-ish. Now they must have some AI (Absent Intelligence) being used as its totally useless. Subjects, channels and groups that you had blocked now appear in your chosen feeds regardless. This app is now an absolute disgrace and as others have mentions, ignores your interests in favour of blocked ones. Totally disrespectful.
