Arizona Mobile ID allows you to control what information you share during a transaction. For example, when buying age-restricted items, the app can confirm you are of legal age without having to share your birth date or address.
Intuitive and easy-to-use, Mobile ID is unlocked by a selfie match to verify identity, or by using a self-selected pin or TouchID/FaceID so your personal information is always protected.
In five simple steps, you can register for your Arizona mID:
1. Download the app and set permissions
2. Verify access to your phone number
3. Use your device camera to scan the front and back of your driver’s license or ID card
4. Follow the app’s registration steps to take a selfie
5. Set up app security and you’re good to go!
Arizona Mobile ID can be used to verify a person’s identity to complete enhanced-verification services online, such as transferring a vehicle title and requesting a disbursement at AZMVDNow.gov, MVD’s primary customer self-service website.
Please note: Arizona Mobile ID is considered an official state-issued ID, serving as a companion to your physical ID. Please continue to carry your physical ID because not all entities are able to verify mID yet.

Selfie recognition doesn’t work

I have tried this app over and over again for months and all I get is error error error when it comes to the selfie verification step.

Error error

The app fails to register every time I try. There’s no help and there’s no contact info.

Not accepted, only works sometimes, difficult

Failed the face scanning about 2 dozen times, it’s super tricky to get right. It also keeps logging me out so I have to do it again every time I want to pull it up. Lastly, multiple stores have not accepted it making it essentially pointless. Update: not accepted Bars TSA

Speedy and helpful.

I love this app. It is so much quicker and easier than prying my license out of my wallet. Highly recommended

Still unfortunate

Use is hindered by multiple issues. You can use with FaceID right until you can’t. Then you have to align your face to circles in a confusing process that rarely works. Entering your pin is rejected prompting a five minute timeout on the first try. Registration has been equally problematic with an out of focus and alignment issue on the ID scan. This has remained from old iPhones to the 16 PM. I used the app yesterday to show my ID. Today? Nope. Had to dig out the card. And it’s that inconsistency in knowing it will be available that ruins the experience and confidence.

Waste of time

Can’t upload my new AZ DL, they don’t support that anymore.

Unable to enroll, faq is no help, and no way to contact azmvd about it

The app fails on taking the selfie. The error code provided is generic and the faq answers to the error code as just as generic “reinstall the app and try again”. Which changes nothing. Yes I checked the selfie tutorial video. Yes I have good lighting. Yes my phone is eye level. Yes I’m moving my head and not the device. Yes I’m successfully connecting the line with the dots multiple times. Same error code every time. Hopefully it’s a version issue because the ratings on this app are amazingly high.

This app isn’t very reliable. It seems they don’t keep it up to date. Anytime Apple comes out with a new phone or if there is a security update, it stops working. The concept is a good idea, but it feels like an AZ DMV product. They run in their time table, not the customers.

This app makes me want to throw my phone

The whole dot alignment feature NEVER works. Constantly locks me out. I've successfully used this app once in the year that I've had it. Total waste of time. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nope, still trash.
