I bought this App because I was interested in the famous serialist painter Leonora Carrington who recently died absolutely nothing a complete waste of money ! Also no Paul Nash no Man Ray ....... really poor !  What's happened to Frida Carlo ? Come on guys get your act together !

I've never paid so much for an app that's really not that good. It's never crashed on me yet, but I still have little desire to ever use it.

The quality of the pictures just isn't the same, the mona Lisa example they use is an exception. As well as that it's just annoying! Captions don't come up for long enough and when I try to change the settings, I don't know what to change because words are missing and they make no sense.

I'd give this one a miss, unless they update it well...when they do, I'll rewrite my review.

### *---- "iPhone backup grinds to halt with this app"
Bought Art Authority, but had to remove it because in iTunes 9.1, backing up my iPhone 3GS (as part of a routine sync) has ground to a halt.

I've tried removing Art Authority and syncing / backing up. Very quick. After re-installing Art Authority (and opening it so it can set itself up) - unusably slow. I have to abort the backup every time.

I've tried adding and removing the app a few times, and the results are consistent.

I'm only posting this here because the authors have failed to respond to my Bug report, which I posted on their support forum 13 days ago. Hopefully they will notice this.

Poor.. No YBA content, very US focus and even then only 'safe' art. Far from being an authority. Idea is good but needs to 'think' beyond 1950.

Pinch, rotate, zoom for detail, study the still, watch a slide show. 

If you are NOT into art, this could change your entire perspective on the subject. .
