An Embarrassment to Artscroll
The Artscroll-Mesorah Foundation is a tremendous organization that has revolutionized the Torah world with its erudite, comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing and they have have changed the face of Jewish printing forever. They are a tour de force in the Jewish publishing world. It is therefore surprising that their digital entry via the iPad has had limited if not no success. Their app is below the high standard that their seforim have set. Coupled with a high price for their work and effort it becomes unjustifiable. Their partnership with Rustybrick, seems to have made both organizations more inept. I can only explain it as a bad case of mismanagement and lack of proper testing on all platforms and media. Worse, the lack of proper memory handling, and the many crashes of the app, reflects badly on an organization, that I assume has spent a large amount of money on making sure their quality is presented digitally. The app doesn't come close to the bar. I am routinely dismayed by the dismal attempt at putting this quality into an app that is sluggish, slow and behaves like something out of a 1920s sciencefiction experiment gone wrong. It is astounding that they have the audacity to charge for something that doesn't work. I don't believe that the app has undergone any rigorous 'real-world' testing on all platforms - i.e. iPad 3, 4 with iOS 7 etc. The rustybrick partnership was a bad move, they do not undersand user experience at all, and do not program with a focus on making sure that the core runs smoothly, effortlessly and routinely. rustybrick, i believe needs to radically change their operations if they wish to continue. Their programs are all the same - they do not run, are expensive, and when they finally work, are slow and do not really listen to their user base I wonder if Artscroll does? It is a pity for a much loved company that I have always supported, I find this entry into the digital world as far below any standard worth considering and quite frankly, I would be embarrassed to present it, let alone charge for it.

It just doesN't work. Bought my iPad for this app... And where's the Hebrew edition you promised in your video... Very very disappointed, your video made me excited....but for this???

Please update 2 things
Great app and use it daily. 2 updates I think are needed. On every screen there are 4 different ways to get to settings (not sure why) the one on main page blocks the text when in full screen. Maybe move this up to the title bar to it doesn’t block the text. Please update the app for the Dynamic Island to display the top portion of the screen properly
Great adaptation
This app is the perfect reading companion. Feels like yeshiva in an app. Seamless scrolling and reading with automatic footnotes ! Perfect
doesn't load, gets stuck
The Android version of this app works fine. The iPhone and iPad version didn't work for me. After I bought the full Talmud, it got stuck downloading and would not open any content.
