Marantz sr8012. Dont work.
Latest update broke the app, keeps crashing
Var en god app,men efter iOS 15. Så virker det ikke meste, crasher hele tiden. Så 200 kr. spildt
As posted by another in here, it would be VERY good if you could do more specifik adjustments, to match the sub and front/center frequency`s. A PEQ would also be so nice... around 3-6 filters in the bass region, for sub/front.
The app itself is nice and stable, but the custom curve needs a lot higher resolution in the 10-80Hz range for it to be usefull for bass correction where it most needed. It is completely impossible to make a notch filter at ie. 50Hz, and the standard target cuve even rolls of the bass by ~10dB @ 20Hz. I get that it is trying to counter-act “standard” roomgain, but then why provide the measurement mic if it’s guessing anyways? Three real parametric EQ’s per channel is all that is really needed. Three simple sliders with: Center frequency, Q (width) and gain is all that is needed. I would gladly pay double for a PRO version of this app that gave me total manual freedom and not having to use the supplied dinky plastic mic and cardboard rocket and then afterwards trying to manually override the doubtfull measurements in order to achive the desired effect: Room-gain / standing wave compensation and otherwise doing as little as possible to the signal. I’m using a Marantz AV7704 with Neumann KH120 studio monitors and an Arendal Sound 1723 SUB 2. I used to have a Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 with RoomPerfect but it also lacked manual parametric override... I sincerely hope that Audyssey can make this happen as they could win a lot of costumers over from; miniDSP, Dirac and all the others, if these simple parametric controls was added. Dear Audyssey: Pretty please with sugar on top! *fingers crossed* Cheers : )
Can find, but not connect to denon AVR-X4300H
Won’t connect to my Marantz SR8012 no matter what I do - so a very expensive app that does nothing.
Users: Don’t waste your money on this app—buy a different receiver with a better calibration system. App developers: Handle problems during calibration better, including by saving work along the way. The app has failed with a “communication error” every time have I have attempted to calibrate my system, even on a rock-solid home network. The errors randomly occur during the calibration process, and when they happen all of the time spent until that point on calibration (many minutes) is wasted because the app doesn’t save the data collected along the way. Super frustrating and dumb. No amount of calibration can be worth this amount of wasted time.
I just bought the app, it showed $19.99 and it charged me $41.52! Why?
This app is easy to use and offers improvements over the default auto-calibration of the AVRs. However, it is basically the same app since its introduction in 2019 or so, with minor updates to make it compatible with newer models (and bug fixes). It seems that since then efforts have been focused solely into PC based Audyssey MultiEq-X Pro, which requires a much pricier non-transferable license per AVR, per userID, and the use of a PC connected to the AVR. So, it’s a lot more powerful than this app, but not nearly as convenient. In my case, I have 3 Denon AVRs at home. Paying for a non transferable license per AVR, per UserID is not an option. But paying let’s say $40 for an improved and expanded X-Pro version of this iOS app would be OK. Please bring some of those advanced features to this app. Wish List… Bring some of REW features to this app. So, keep the current basic full auto setup as the default option, and include the ability of running individual sweeps per speaker (or groups of speakers) and show the results immediately after each sweep, so that enthusiasts may make adjustments to speakers positions or MLP based on those sweeps, and once satisfied with the preliminary results, then run the full auto-setup process. REW is too complicated and cumbersome. This app could be the ideal tool for enthusiasts that want more control over the speaker placement and calibration process, but without the complexity of PC based tools like REW or the high cost (and comparatively higher complexity) of MultiEQ-X Pro. Thanks
