Whilst you don’t sell these in Australia I have imported many August locks for friends and colleagues and they have been exemplary. Thanks again. To the dev team, when your next at the bar with the Yale dev team, tell them to sort there code out and stop being silly sausages with confusing app animations on the Yale app.
I live in Australia and had previously owned an August Smartlock. I bought new one and found it is not able to be setup outside the US and Canada. Wasted my money.
Since iOS 18 update the widget is gone and now have to open the app every time to get into my home rather than a quick swipe to the widget screen. :(
I purchased this app - advised by my Airbnb host. However, this app and the Airbnb app connected, but they go around in circles without actually opening the door. This means you cannot get into your Airbnb. The information provided by this app is extremely limited and often poorly worded. For example, it gives the instruction to go to the homepage- by which they mean the Airbnb homepage and should have specified this- but the Airbnb app has no homepage. Overall not well suited to Airbnb guests.
Latest version on iPhone 12 with latest OS doesn’t even run, crashes on startup. So lock now useless. Wish testing was more thorough, couldn’t even have tried this update. Instead dump it on users. Luckily I had a key in a lockbox otherwise I would have been locked out.
This app would be better if it didn’t prompt you to keep selecting which “Home” you want to access. For over five years I’ve had to tell August to select the only device I own. Couldn’t the app be updated so this screen isn’t shown to users like me? Just take me straight to the unlock screen. Otherwise the app and product are reliable. Just wish August would improve basic experiences like this.
Almost every time I open the app it crashes, and the auto home functionality has become quite unreliable
Everything working fine for last few years until last update. Setting of the lock said Bluetooth connection required. App has permission to bluetooth. Other devices not updated working fine.
The hardware is awesome. The idea is awesome. However I expect the software to be top one as well. It’s not. Poor UX, some buttons don’t even have name but place_holders_from_code. Seems like no one even tests it on a regular basis. Also the app is not available for Australia as well as a skill without any reason. Change your market on App Store and Amazon and you will be able to use both. If someone from August reads it. Please hire a good product manager and a dev team. Your product is awesome but you need to catch up on the digital part of it.
