## Authenticator Description
Authenticator is a simple, free, and open source two-factor authentication app. It helps keep your online accounts secure by generating unique one-time passwords, which you use in combination with your other passwords to log into supporting websites. The simple combination of the password in your head and the rotating passwords generated by the app make it much harder for anyone but you to access your accounts.

• Easy: Simple setup via QR code, "otpauth://" URL, or manual entry
• Secure: All data is stored in encrypted form on the iOS keychain
• Compatible: Full support for time-based and counter-based one-time passwords as standardized in RFC 4226 and 6238
• Off the Grid: The app never connects to the internet, and your secret keys never leave your device.

I don’t understand the 1-star reviews. The codes never failed me, and I’ve upgraded my phone with this app and had no issues in transferring… twice. Plus, the developer’s site says no data is collected. (privacy win!) Would like to see a biometric lock (face id/fingerprint) or password/PIN to open the app.

I love this and I actually been using this app since 2023, I’ve had it on my first phone, my second phone and, And now my third phone that I’m using to write this (IPhone 6) And I mainly use this authenticator for Roblox,Fortnite verification, And etc. The only bad thing I don’t like is to get access to my old codes for discord and stuff like that but overall it’s a amazing authenticator and I’m just surprised as you are that I wrote all this 💀

These authentication apps are the stupidest things.  They are not easy to set up.  You need a QR code you need a token.  Where are these things at?

I used it before for my Twitch. I got a new phone and wanted to get Twitch in it, but the authentication code didn’t work. I have no clue why. I didn’t change anything. It just stopped working.

I’ve used this Authenticator app for a few years now. It’s super simple to add new accounts, and it’s easy to access. There are a few things that could be improved. I would like to see some kind of pin or passcode as another layer of protection on your personal device. Another thing I would enjoy seeing is a way to organize your accounts in folders, or color coat them. It’s a super simple design that works well, but it could use a few quality of life improvements. Gave this app 4 stars just for my few QoL, but a great app nonetheless.

One of the last sources for bring value to older devices. iPhone 5 @ 2022 is now able to authorize 2FA from Google, Microsoft and other challenges. Big Thanks to the developer for keeping backward compatibility.

I use this to authenticate my Roblox accounts and It’s very helpful and easy to use. All I had to do was just scan the QR code (very easy to find, it was the plus)

This app worked fine for a while but now every time I try to login to any site and use a code from this authenticator; the site will tell me the code is invalid. I'm using codes that haven't ran out of time. Codes I got because I scan the QR code to implement them into this app. Backup codes work for the sites but no codes coming out of the app are valid. Had to deactivate all my 2fa because I can't use the codes. Not sure what went wrong but now I have to look for a new app.
