I like this app, though there are some troubling choices. If I tell you I don’t want my voice recorded for your AI training, which is entirely reasonable if you are not paying me, why am I asked again the next time I do speaking exercises? This is a dark pattern, and I’m a little worried about where this is going.
I honestly this this app is so amazing, but I just wish the prices were cheaper…I know that you have to earn money for your app and I totally respect that. It’s just that I personally want to learn some languages for my future college application and would like to learn a language. But overall this app is amazing!
The app is very good, but the new update need to be improved as it crash often
i love the structure of the lessons and the review feature is awesome to ensure long term memory. Dialogues are so entertaining and great that its from native speakers. Podcasts and live lessons with teachers are a good add on! However if there is a way in which i am able to access notes and dialogues from the lessons (without having to redo the lessons) that would make the app even more better. Additionally a little bit of statistical elements i.e. something like how Mondly does with the data and stats of the number words learned of all time would make the journey more entertaining and gamified

Please be very wary of the subscription auto-renewal. There are no notifications/receipts sent when there is a charge for the auto-renewal. If you are no longer using the app, be sure to double and triple check that your subscription is cancelled or you may be unknowingly charged.

Babbel charged me a full year subscription without my consent and refused to refund me after I continually wrote to them for a refund. I am aware That I am obliged to do a subscription after the trial period, but I have not agreed to subscribing for a full year for an old man. I don’t mind subscribing month by month!
