This is an ok app.
It has the core features we were looking for, but it lags some extras that we be nice to have.

An example is the ability to connect the app to your other devices in order to display a slideshow of memories on your smart TV, through google chrome, or on your PC or Smartphones screen saver.

You can download the pictures and videos, but they come with rather obscure titles. This is a shame since it has all the meta data to name them after the children on it and the date it was taken.

I could go on, but the button line is that the app is great, but you should check the market for apps with just a few more features.

Last but not least: the app had a makeover a few years ago. While your pictures where transfered, they lost all comments and “hearts” from family members. Even worse, they raised the price many fold from one day to the other.
We would have found a new app at that point were it not for the enormous amount of pictures already in the app. So be careful… Before this happened we recommended the app to all parents to be. Now… No 😅.

On iPad and iPhone, BackThen does not rotate properly. Ever tried to edit settings with an external keyboard? The iPad is of course placed in landscape mode, but the settings dialog insists on portrait mode.

Ever tried to view BackThen in portrait mode while charging? You have the usb connector on top because you will NOT support the iPad on the connector (it’ll be harmed), but BackThen insists on displaying upside-down.

The pictures are great, but that is due to no virtue of BackThen.
