Ballistic X

Bought the app only to be presented with yet another subscription for “advanced features”. Double dipping on users is piss poor.

I grabbed this app as a bit of a gimmick but turns out it is easy to use and precise. I would however like to see an option to turn off the shot numbering. I’d just like to be able to mark each of the shots without assigning it a shot number. When I’m at the range and shooting multiple targets, I’m not recoding witch shot landed where in each group but just the group as a whole. Create an option to turn off shot numbering and it’s a 5 star from me.

Developer unilaterally changed app access. This is not what I paid for. Nomad Innovations LLC cannot even be contacted. I want a refund!

Ballistic-X is a great app for creating target records. Especially handy for reloader as you can customise the overlay information to include all load and firearm data. The export function is by far the most simple I’ve used and is better than other ballistic apps. The group measurements I have proven to be very accurate and about identical to what I physically measure on my targets with a vernier caliper. Wish I found this app sooner!

This is a great app but I was surprised to see an annual fee to unlock the “advanced” features that I thought were included based on seeing them in the preview picture. Paying annually for simple CEP calculations is silly. Feedback for the developer: be more up front about your pricing model and what you charge annually for. Update: I’ve paid for it, have been using it, and updated to two stars because it’s useful but not as much as I expected

I have used software to measure groups back when it was only available on a desktop computer. I get a kick out of offering feedback and it incorporated into updates. Previous to Ballistic X I was using On Target.

It’s good at showing moa and is pretty intuitive. The pdf export is also glitched.

Most of the major features are locked behind a per year fee. After buying the app, I don’t expect to pay for the features that should have been included in the beginning. I would not have purchased the app had I known this. There are plenty of free apps that do what this one wants you to pay twice for. I will be requesting a refund.

All this app does is measure your group. When I purchased it I believed that it was a true ballistics app.. not so. Should be called the “group measurement” app. I would like to get a refund but can’t figure out how to request it.

Some states only allow straight wall cartridges for hunting. Better add some calibers like .350 legend and .450BM to the list
