This is sumoe and good ballistics app, but for the price, many important features are missing ( coriolis effect, incline angle of the barrel, size of the ammo, wind taken from bluetooth equipment…)
This is probably the 4th ballistic calculator I’ve used this past year and it’s proven to be a cut above the others. I have 6 rifles that I shoot anywhere from 200 yards, all the way out to 1 mile. I shoot a number of different store bought ammo and I absolutely love being able to store the different ammo specifically to each rifle. Also, if I miss and need to adjust my elevation I can do it in the app and can find the core velocity to plug in and get 1st round impacts. Also I can plug in different values for wind and learn how it effects different calibers. It’s a must have for me at this point.
Retical/scope selection is not saved to the rifle name, nor to a list. Must hunt for the scope from a huge list each time changing rifles. Resorted to naming my rifles by exact scope/model listing so that I could more easily search for it. Ammo, selections and creations are saved to a list. Rifle selections, save the zero distance but not the scope height, How could they miss not saving scope selections???? No provision to save individual rifle notes that would be helpful among other things to remind the user of everything they needed to go back and re-enter each time they selected a different “saved” (loosely) rifle.
Loved the app, with the exception that I wanted to be able to input shooting angle (example when you are on a mountain shooting down). This was a minor feature though, it was still my go to ballistics calculator. Giving it 4 stars because the app started crashing after its latest update, especially when I click on the reticle tab at the bottom. Will change to 5 stars when this gets fixed.
App appears to correlate well with published ballistics data. Nice to be able to build a database of rifles and ammo. However, the scope height does not get saved for each rifle. Not a big problem for me as I don’t have many. My workaround is to put the scope height in to rifle name so I don't forget.
The only thing lacking is slope compensation in the app. Very much looking forward to adding this feature.
App keeps crashing when I click any of the Tabs on the bottom
