Beck Taxi is the leading provider of taxicab services in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
We are pleased to offer our valued clients the very latest in smartphone booking technology with our free Beck Taxi application.

Key Features of the Beck Taxi application include:
• Book a trip in as few as 2 clicks
• Monitor the progress of your vehicle on a map
• Create a list of favourite addresses and assign a custom name for each
• Review all reservations you have made over the past 30 days
• Provide feedback related to the application and/or service you received
• Call Beck Taxi with the push of a button

To begin using the Beck Taxi application today:
• Download the free app
• Enter your phone number
• Validate your account (via the notification code you receive)
• Login to the app (Set your name and Email for receipts)
• Enter your pickup address
• Enter your destination address (this allows us to provide an estimated fare amount)
• Book your trip 


On booking a reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, along with an update when your vehicle has been assigned. From here you can monitor the progress of your vehicle as it moves towards your pickup location.

The Beck Taxi application retains a history of your previous reservations for expense management and to quickly rebook the same trip with the push of a button. You may also create a list of favourite locations (Home, Work, etc.) to speed the booking process.

### *---- "Unprofessional service and driver ignored cost estimate"
Driver took 20 minutes to arrive when the app said he was 6 minutes away. It looked like he was parked for 15 minutes and only started moving when I called him. Then when he eventually got here, he said that the cost was the meter + $20, totally disregarding what the app said for a price. We did have some cargo to bring, but the vehicle tier selected was a cargo van so the estimate should have been the correct. Ridiculous experience and a waste of time, why bother providing an estimate if your drivers are going to ignore them.

My only observation is the fact that now with the app, we can’t add a note to be more specific about the pick up details when we booked the trip to let the drivers know things like…stores name, upper or lower levels or side/number entrances… there are many stores inside the plazas, and some are two floor level stores with different entrances 🤷🏻‍♀️ 

But other than that, I’m pretty happy with the service.

I’ve been using Beck for the past 25 years and never had a problem.

Last fall this app was great and today I used it and it to forever to get through the verify at the stop. After that it worked ok until I got to my destination and I couldn’t give a tip. Got an error message and the only option was to ‘Dismiss’ but the guy said the charge for the ride went through but not the tip. Luckily I had some cash. Happened again on the return trip. Please fix this!

Overall I like the app but I don’t think I’ve had a single trip where the arrival time wasn’t shown as 1 minute. And the taxi is many minutes away. Sometimes as long as 10 minutes or more. This can’t possibly be hard to make more accurate.

If you are reading this review because you’re looking for a reason to use a taxi service, I can assure you that the only Safeway to travel is through license and insured service providers. When you get in any other vehicle, you’re taking your life in your own hands. Thank you to back tax for providing a safe reliable option for those of us who don’t feel special because of riding in a car that doesn’t have the company markings on the outside.

I like this app for the convenience! But it drives me a little bonkers when the time estimates are completely off. I booked a cab at 16:09 and it predicted that the cab was 1 minute away. The cab actually showed up at 16:15, so much for that prediction.

I’ve used this app for a while and still think there needs to be a tip option to add additional tip if the service was particularly good. Often the app gives my default, even if I want to tip more and I’d like to be able to add more tip.
