App is a pain to setup and still confusing once setup. Also, the map feature should not be something that needs to be unlocked. It should be provided right away.

### ****- "Needs more user customization"
Great idea, needs a little more user customization to truly be a five star. 

It’s difficult to compare restaurants with completely different purposes (such as a breakfast place with an Indian restaurant). Instead, it would be much more useful to rank WITHIN a certain label (for example, rank all your favorite Asian restaurants) 

Also, custom labels would be SO MUCH MORE EASIER AND CONVENIENT. I have specific ways I want to categorize my restaurants, such as places that Person X can eat. 

I love the idea of the app, but without the ability to customize, it won’t really be useful for me in the end.

### ***-- "Really Solid App, but Could Use More Features"
I’ve been using the app for a bit and I’ve been satisfied with the rating and review system, but I still feel like it lacks some features.
For example, there needs to be a better system to make sure that images are labeled properly. Sometimes you’ll look at an image and the dish name is just “yum”. This bothers me because it makes it tough for people to plan what they want to order ahead of time. Additionally, there needs to be a way to enforce consistency across naming conventions such as auto capitalization for each word. Additionally, for photos containing multiple dishes, a way to tag the photos instead like on Instagram would be cool.
There are also some cool features that apps like Truffle support that would be cool to have such as automatically adding restaurants you put in your story or posts into your list.
Next, it would be great to be able to see and sort through all the photos you’ve posted on Beli.
Finally, it needs a dark mode! Especially in dark environments when I’m trying to write a review, I open the app and am blinded!
Also please add a suggestions page!
If the app keeps improving and growing, I’ll improve my rating, but for now it’ll stay a 3.

Absolutely hate the rating system (which it seems like most people here do too?) and am literally only writing a review to beg the developers to get rid of it. I tap “too tough” every time because I simply don’t care about comparing and it takes way too long but I’m sure the algorithm is getting messed up since it randomly places a new restaurant in my rankings then. Besides that nice app.

Dear App Developer/Team,

I really love this app and have started to post and rate more restaurants as I use it. However, I’ve noticed something that might improve the experience for users. When comparing restaurants of different levels—for example, a Michelin 3-star restaurant versus a street food vendor—it feels unfair to rate them on the same scale.

Would it be possible to introduce a rating system that takes the restaurant’s price level (e.g., $, $$, $$$) into account? This could make reviews and ratings more balanced and reflective of the dining experience within each price category.

Thank you for considering this idea, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the app evolves!

This app is so fun! It's a great way to remember where I've eaten and whether I liked it, which is great for traveling. It also encourages me to try new places so I can fill out my rankings. All my friends are hooked. I just wish I'd started using it sooner

i invited some friends and they used my links and everything right, it used up 2 of my 4 invites, but the app won’t let me redeem my features !! i’m so sad because the app is really cute but i’m kinda frustrated that i did everything right & still can’t redeem the features i joined this app for. 💔

i also wish there was a customer service type option (unless there is and i just can’t find it, which also is a small issue in my opinion if users can’t navigate the app well) so i could try to get some help with this.

Looking for a better alternative to Google Maps and Yelp now that Foursquare is shutting down. 

This app is not it. 

I don’t mind rating a few restaurants to get access to all the ratings, but I want to discover new restaurants, not journal where I’ve been (or at least I want to discover in return for journaling). And the UI is awful and overcomplicated. All I want is a map with ratings where I can click into restaurants, is that so hard? 

Bad UX and too much take not enough give from this app. That’s too bad.

This is my favorite app of all time!! Its both social and practical. Its a great way to keep track of all the restaurants I’ve been to and remember what I thought of them so I can know exactly where to bring friends and family when they’re in town, or remember where I liked to go while on vacation so I can go back! Its also so fun to get new recs from the app and friends. All around a great app idea and functions super well!

I just joined and was going that it would be more like Goodreads. 
Why do I have to share a list of restaurants I want to try vs pull down menu on the restaurant and I can choose “want to try”
Not a fan of having to decide which restaurant I like better. I always opt for “too tough” but would prefer this didn’t exist. I think it’s stupid
So, poor ux design 
And having to add 4 ppl to join. I get it, but again, not a fan
Hope you can fix my first 2 concerns to make app better

I wanted to use this app to keep track of restaurants I’ve been to, and occasionally share with friends. However, in order to log a visit to a restaurant privately, you need to invite a friend to the app and have them actually join the app. Gating simple features behind forced growth mechanisms like this is anti consumer and I’ve uninstalled as a result. Shame, since it has a lot of otherwise good features.

I enjoy using this app to keep track of the restaurants that I’ve been to and see recommendations from friends. But it’s a bit annoying when I’m ranking restaurants against the ones I’ve been to in the past and I don’t remember them. It would be great if we could see a picture of the food or restaurant so that I can remember what I ate there to make an accurate review.

This app is basically a pyramid scheme, where in order to actually use the useful functions you have to get more people to subscribe to the app. But I don’t want none of my friends want to subscribe to the app because none of them want to have to make their friends subscribe to the apps so that they can actually use the useful features. So ultimately it ended up being completely useless to me and I wish I’d never downloaded it.
