Much easier than other calorie apps
I’ve used fitnesspal for 6 months now and it was always a faff finding the right amount of grams so it’s much easier to just take a photo and it’s all calculated, i also love the intake stats and it is cheaper for plus
My only feedback would be to add a workout area where you can input calories burned during workouts so you can keep track of your balance!
Almost Perfect!
I genuinely love this app. It’s so easy, fun, and cute - almost feels like a game rather than tracking my calories and I actually look forward to snapping a pic for my little raccoon.
One thing I would change is the ability to add food which I forgot to add the day/s before. Some nights I might have a cheeky late night snack and don’t remember to log it in the app, but the next day when I try to add the meal it doesn’t give me the option to add to yesterday, only the current time. The calories are also not 100% accurate but this can be easily changed by altering the grams of food or simply by changing the calorie count 😁
Amazing app
I love this app so much. It’s helping me with my eating disorder recovery. The only thing is I need to write notes on how I’m feeling with each meal.
Would you consider adding a notes section?
Only for 18 year olds
Im 13 and want to get more fit but I cant because there are no ages for 13 or above
Best calorie tracking app
This isn’t my first calorie tracking app, I’ve tried others like my fitness pall and lose it (second fav) however I wasn’t very consistent with them due to the about of effort I had to do regarding figuring out the grams of what I was eating and trying to calculate the macros myself first.
This might not be as accurate as calculating it yourself but it’s a great start to building the habit to calculating calories. Even a rough estimate is good. I followed through with the yearly plan after finishing a 3 day free trial and although it’s just been a week I’m feeling very good about this. I will update in a month to log in my thoughts.
I previously had a binge eating disorder so food is a sensitive topic for me but my pet reassuring me and encouraging me helps a lot. This app is very helpful for those who might have a history of eating disorders like me and are in recovery!
If any of the app developers are reading this What I would like to change and could really elevate the app is to add more customizable features. Like maybe dressing up our raccoon and adding more backgrounds! Maybe from our camera roll or something. I would love that so much🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 pretty pretty please. Those ads on tiktok work too so keep it up that’s how I discovered it! I’m in here for the whole year I hope this app help me gain my goals and form a better relationship with food thanks so much
Love but NOT accurate
Really really love the idea of this app…. However there is a lot of work needs done on the accuracy of the calories it calculates. For example I logged a breakfast this morning it told me 1263 calories and my fitness pal told me 552.
I’d keep using if it was more accurate.
Not great
Great potential it’s the kind of app I could be using everyday, however you barely get anything if you don’t pay for it, you should go to YAZIO where most of it is free except if you want to go deeper in details. Also I don’t think bite oak is actually accurate (don’t take in count oil/butter etc essential in a sustainable calorie deficit)
I like the casual nature, but it’s a little limited
I personally am not the type to note down everything I eat, so this is a great tracker and I enjoy the pet idea
It’s a little frustrating that you *must* take a picture to add the meal
A great addition would be retroactively adding things you ate, and how much and allowing the AI to make a guess at the calories
I’d like to be able to say that I had a handful of banana chips, and have it added still without having to stop and take a photo!
Only good if you want to use for intuitive eating
This app only works if you’re using this one very specific way: if you want to rebuild your relationship with food and don’t want to track calories or nutrition closely.
It only tracks with photos, nothing else. There is no way a photo could see the difference between something cooked with 1tbsp of olive oil or 6 tbsp of olive oil (for example) so the calorie and nutrition tracking is always going to be wildly inaccurate.
The fact that taking a picture is the ONLY way to track makes it very limiting - I don’t always eat with my phone next to me and I wish there was the option to add things manually, without the need for a photo every time. Adding things manually would also help the accuracy (I took a photo of my lentil stew and it only came up as ‘soup’ which is very vague. The nutritions and calories were also completely wrong from what I’d separately calculated).
If you just want a cute virtual pet and a way to very very loosely keep track of what you’re eating, this is the app for you.
If you want to use it as an actual tool for calorie counting and accuracy then stay away.
Cutest Pocket Pet
Such a good idea it is not as accurate as other apps (would be almost impossible to be just with photos) it would be great to be able to edit the measurements, ingredients etc to make it more accurate, however is a great way to encourage you to think about how you are fuelling your body by looking after your racoon so would also be good to see more animations from the racoon ie maybe it is more energised after a day of healthy habits and lethargic and looking a bit tubby if you have snacked on chocolate all day!
