App stop wroking for me also
App stopped working after 2024.12.0 update and now immediately crashes when trying to open in macOS Sonoma 14.7.2. What is worse is that it was working and therefore the developer intentionally broke it. Nice job BW!

This isn't the first cross-platform open source TOTP app with iCloud backup support, but it has a great roadmap and is privacy-first... so it will be the only TOTP app I may ever need if they add push login, account recovery, and vault sync. It's a great tool for users on older devices that can't install the Passwords app on iOS/iPadOS 18. I've dropped my rating to two stars because Bitwarden hasn't fixed its most glaring issues (such as backup not working) over the past six months.

This app is a bit fickle... It's easy to add 2FA codes for my accounts, but there are some issues I have with the app. 1. The app only requires biometric authentication when I first open the app. If I leave the app but keep it open and then return to it, it doesn't ask for Face ID again. That's a problematic security issue. It should be like their main Bitwarden app that times out "immediately" to keep everything secure. 2. Rearranging codes would be a great feature to have. I like to alphabetize, and it seems like the app will do that most of the time, but when I added my eBay 2fa code, the app kept putting it at the bottom of the list, trying to decide whether the lowercase "e" should be alphabetized. I think a great solution to this would be to allow users to customize how their accounts are arranged in the list, to allow prioritization to accounts that are used most frequently, or for someone like me who finds it easier to alphabetize. Other than that, I really appreciate the app! I'm excited for the other features that will be introduced in future phases, as mentioned on Bitwarden's website. My favorite feature will be when they enable syncing the codes to your Bitwarden account! That will save lots of time and effort when switching devices. On a somewhat unrelated note, I really appreciate Bitwarden's choice to provide all the essentials for free users, while also maintaining "zero knowledge" encryption for maximum security. We can never be too careful about our online safety nowadays.
Needs to allow importing QR codes from photos. Otherwise, awesome!
The “Backup” option does nothing. Clicking “Backup” says the data will be backed up, and yet, it you check the list of apps in iCloud’s backup, Bitwarden Authenticator is nowhere to be found. To verify this, after deleting and reinstalling the app, the codes don’t get restored. I know that codes and be manually exported and imported, but when you have a backup option, it needs to function. Please fix this. I’m a paid subscriber to the Bitwarden password manager and have been for years, so this is disappointing, to say the least.
Please update the app. I’ve noticed recently when I search for my specific 2FA code… it does not populate the actual code #, but just a string of numbers in order…almost like placeholder numbers To help I have to scroll through my 2FA list and input the code that way instead. Also consider adding in iCloud backup options and options to hide the code # as well. Thank you.
Works with all my 2fa accounts, unlike some other authenticators. Just needs features like timed log out, larger text options, and manual encrypted backup. Overall a solid app from a trusted company.
Decent basic auth app. Needs trash bin, website logos, encrypted exports
Like people here said before me that the codes go to 123 456 when filtering the names. When there is a large list of codes a search bar needs to do its job. I have to scroll through my long list of 6 digit codes just to find the one I need.
