Blackmagic Camera

There is no better camera app for the iPad M4 Pro and DaVinci Resolve than Black Magic Camera. It allows you to choose front or rear camera, and get true 4k video from the front camera for vlogging. It also allows you to choose the microphone used for narration or voiceovers. I am using this app with DJI Mic 2, and it all works perfectly.

This is a great app that has all the features and more, but does not support remote control from Apple Watch.

Very sold tool for video shooting with an iPhone. The only major con is that the app does not support remote control. That makes usability a bit harder for self-recording.

So many controls and professional tools. It being free is actually wild! I would pay for this app.

There’s so many bugs at least with the iPhone 16 pro that makes this app unusable for my use case. Also please consider adding a shutter priority mode. I consider this an essential option for run and gun b roll which is what I was hoping to use my iPhone for. Why can’t I lock my shutter angle but then still have an auto exposure/exposure comp option. Until this is implemented I’ll be sticking to my actual cameras unfortunately.

It actually allows you to enable dual mono audio input so if you’re using the most frustrating audio interface like focusrite 2i2 4th gen which makes input1 go in the left speaker and input2 in the right when recording, this camera app actually makes it so both inputs are combined as they freakin should be and your video is playing stereo both your voice and/or instruments at the same time instead of one side only
