## Boat Beacon Description
Zien en gezien worden op uw boot in de Kust-en Binnenwateren via AIS met 60 mijl Aanvaringsdetectie met gebruik van slechts uw iPhone of iPad. Vereist geen externe AIS-transponder of ontvangstapparatuur.

Belangrijkste Functies

Over de horizon Aanvaringsvermijding (60 mijl straal) met een continue Dichtstbijzijnde Punt van Benadering (DPB) berekeningen – markeert boten die op een potentiële aanvaringskoers varen en geeft een waarschuwing.

Verzendt en ontvangt continue positie-informatie en berekent en waarschuwt DPB, zelfs wanneer de app op de achtergrond loopt.

De positie, snelheid, koers en de lagers van schepen en boten in uw buurt wordt elke minuut bijgewerkt en de positie, snelheid en koers van uw boot wordt elke minuut verzonden naar Global AIS-systemen en andere Boat Beacon gebruikers.

Live kaartweergave met kompasoverlay draait met u, zodat u kunt kijken in de richting van de schepen op de kaart om ze te vinden.

Schip naar Schip Instant Messaging. Direct gratis chatten met andere Boat Beacon gebruikers in real-time.

Man Overboord tracking, Ankerkijk en afstandsbediening Diefstalalarm (IAP)

Alle bemanningen in een race met Boat Beacon uitrusten en krijg real-time updates van de race-posities – op land of aan zee - en laat de mensen in het Clubhuis het ook bekijken op een groot scherm met de TV/Video-uitvoer van Boat Beacon.

Houd andere boten in de gaten en houd in contact met andere boten in uw vloot tijdens groepsvaren.

Laat Vrienden en Familie zien waar u bent en waar u naartoe gaat op Boat Beacon en leidende AIS-systemen zoals ShipFinder, Marine Traffic en AIS-Hub, die gratis webviewers hebben.

Boat Beacon vereist internettoegang om te werken. De meeste populaire kustgebieden hebben mobiele gegevenstoegang tot 12 mijl of meer op zee. AIS Schipgegevens worden verstrekt door een netwerk van vrijwillige AIS walstations. Sommige gebieden hebben geen AIS-dekking

N.B. Dit is geen AIS-transponder. U zal niet zichtbaar zijn voor andere schepen op hun AIS-systemen, tenzij zij ook gegevens gebruiken van dezelfde land gebaseerde AIS-netwerken.

Internetverbinding.

U kunt gebruik maken van Boat Beacon zonder de AIS-verzendfunctie te gebruiken. De AIS-verzendfunctie vereist een geldig MMSI-nummer toegewezen om op de verschillende AIS-kaart-systemen te verschijnen. AIS-verzendmodus geeft u ook toegang tot betere AIS Schipdekking (3-voudig).

Houd er rekening mee dat voortgezet gebruik van GPS op de achtergrond de levensduur van de batterij drastisch kan verminderen.

NIET VOOR NAVIGATIE

Dit programma is gedistribueerd in de hoop dat het nuttig zal zijn. Boat Beacon mag alleen worden gebruikt voor basis-navigatie referentie en moet niet uitsluitend worden gebruikt om de exacte locatie, nabijheid, afstand of richting te bepalen.

### ***** "Goed bruikbaar AIS alternatief!"
Eindelijk een goede mogelijkheid om een AIS overlay over een Navionics( Boating ) kaart te projecteren. Jammer dat de getoonde schepen een wat fletsgroene afbeelding hebben. Ook de range is beperkter dan bij de daarbij aan te schaffen Boot Beacon maar rond de 20-30 NM is ruim voldoende. Goede en snelle ondersteuning bij instellings vragen!!

NIET KOPEN. De basisfunctie werkt matig en alle andere geadverteerde functies blijken in app purchases te zijn zonder dit erbij te vermelden. De app beoordelen vanuit de app zelf is uitgeschakeld en het is dus wel duidelijk waarom.

Heb de App net aangeschaft, maar na installatie blijkt dat AIS sharing als aparte module/abonnement dient te worden aangeschaft. App zelf levert hetzelfde als andere goedkopere apps. Heb het aangeschaft voor de sharing. Dat staat dus niet standaard aan! Slechte zaak!

Geweldige navigation app - Boat Beacon. AIS, collision alarm, anker alarm, boat details met MMSI nummer, trip details. Het enige dat nog mist zijn de vaarkaart details zoals Navionics. 
Zeker in druk vaarwater is het een prima hulpmiddel. Eigen gegevens die je uitzendt via Boat Beacon worden dus ook opgepikt door ais applicaties als bijv.  Marine Traffic. Kortom super! Nu alleen nog 3G in het buitenland ook onbeperkt beschikbaar!!
