Bolt: Request a Ride

The app is the worst ride share app I ever had. The drivers always cancel and it takes forever to get a driver. The average wait time when you eventually get a driver is above 5 minutes at various locations in central London. One time I was in a rush to an appointment and waited for 20 minutes with no rides. Finally when I got a ride the app said the driver would be 5 minutes. I waited for 5 minutes and it still says 4 minutes. I canceled and had to get a texi but the app charged me £6 cancel fee because I canceled after 4 minutes. I understand in a normal situation if I did that I should be charged but under this scenario I believe I should even be the one being reimbursed! It’s just plain ridiculous if I can’t get a ride on time! I contacted support a few times with various agents (might even just be AI) but got no help at all. They don’t relate to the situation and are not willing to listen to my issue. This app is making my whole London experience so stressful. I would never use it again and suggest everyone to be cautious with it.

Terrible drivers

It is cheaper than uber at times. But drivers cancel 80% of the time and you need to wait ~15 min to find a driver. The map is also very misleading. It’ll say there’s a driver just 2-3 min away but we always have to wait at least 10 minutes. They’re also less accommodative compared to uber drivers.

Just as easy to use as Uber but with really great prices. Great to use in Portugal.

Better than competitor app for Portugal!

They charge you before finding drivers … so you end up doing 10+ transactions trying to find a driver and when you are a foreigner you’re cards get blocked

Great and fast service in the city If you’re tourist, just watch out when you take Bolt from airport to your hotel the driver will try to scam you they ask you $50 but you app shows different price!!

Drivers didn’t move, all canceled Would have loved to have used it since it’s cheaper than Uber and has the discounts, but was terrible.

I don’t think it’s fair to be charged a wait-time fee when the driver can’t find the correct address. Good luck with trying to request a refund on the Bolt app. Disappointing 😡
