### **--- "Inferior to other audiobook apps and expensive"
BookBeat is not bad. The UI needs a lot of improvements as it’s hard to just scroll through all audiobooks in one genre to see what catches your eye. I also don’t like how the library of my books isn’t in the main navigation it’s on the home page.

I find audible and even Spotify have a nicer user experience. I do like paying for specific hours you will use at least that’s not hidden from you like Scribd used to be. However I don’t like the practice of me paying for 20h for the month and if I don’t use it up, it doesn’t transfer to the next month?! I paid for those hours. I should be entitled to them. This is a disgusting practice. At this stage i rather pay £7.99 to own the audiobook on audible with my membership.

The app works really well on IOS and with my Sonos speakers unlike Audible.
Bookbeat is great for me as a person who is infuriated by selecting an audiobook and then disliking more than a few minutes of the narrator’s voice or finding the book isn’t to my taste because I can just abandon the book and listen to another. This opens the prospect of experimenting with books I wouldn’t normally have tried.

I love the choice of books and subscription model but every other time I use the app it gets stuck and won’t play. It’s really spoiling my enjoyment.

The app is hard to use, plain and simple. You can’t view book categories as lists or small icons so you only get very few books to browse in each scroll. Once you have saved or started a book, it remains a mystery where those go. I have not figured out where my saved books are. Furthermore, there is no web app so if I want to listen through my laptop while working I still have to use my phone too. The price for the subscriptions is unmatchable at the moment but due to convenience, I think I’m going to go with Spotify for audiobooks.

I'm really enjoying this service. Great selection of books, if I can't find it on audible, I can probably find it on BB which has been wonderful. The app is great, easy to use, I like the tracking of what you read that it does, it's not intrusive or annoying. Just smooth sailing and a pleasant experience! I hope it gets more popular! I think it deserves it.

I’m on a free trial and thought BookBeat was a new start up, so when I found selection of audiobooks was limited, I was willing to stick with it expecting the catalogue to grow.  However, I’ve just read some reviews going back 6 years, so not new at all.  If, selection is still so small after this time, I won’t be taking out subscription.  To be honest, my library app, BorrowBox, is free, and selection is extensive with new books from the main publishers being added monthly.  Sorry, good idea, app works well, but nothing to hold my interest.
