Great app for IBD / IBS patients want to journal everything
I’ve recently started Chemotherapy and one of the side effects is this wild swings between constipation and loose motion. I wanted to keep track and try to correlate with what I was eating. I found this app when I searched the App Store. As luck would have it, the author has created a simple and intuitive set of questions to keep track. There’s a provision to document meals, including attached a snapshot of the meal. Both quality and quantity of the bowel can be input. One can add tags. One can even add questions. In my case, I also added a question on whether I was taking the oral chemo drug (my current regimen requires me to medicate for 14 days followed by 7 days of no medication. So, all in all, a minimal bowel tracking software with the flexibility to expand as one requires. My sincere thanks to the developer for publishing this.
I have ulcerative colitis and this app has helped me keep track of my symptoms and my medications. I also show it to my doctor to help adjust medications when needed.
Portability could be better if it could link devices. I work with my iPad at home, it’s easy to see and type on. iPhone at work, Iwatch all the time.
As someone who has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis for over 15 years and have had chronic constipation since infancy, I go in crazy cycles of having up to 20+ bowl movements a days and then on the flip side can go 20+ days without very productive bowl movements. This app is making it so easy for me to track when I go and how many times a day, plus the added feature of urgency/mucus/blood/discomfort is very helpful for me as I experience those often with a UC flare. I highly recommend this app to fellow IBD warriors!
As it says in the title
I’ve been using this app for 4 years. It’s super easy to use, it’s convenient to scroll through BM history, and I absolutely love having the 7-day average for telling my GI at appointments.
Highly recommended. If you're dealing with IBS, Crohn's, and/or other gut stuff, get this app. Bowelle does an excellent job of capturing gut and bowel info quickly and well. It's very easy to customize, and downloading data is a breeze. Really. The support team is fab and responsive, too Plus -- it's free, with no ads. I'd pay for it, tho, and after using it, you'll understand why.
This app is super simple and helpful. The free version does the trick and covers all bases.
Does not track all information.
