Black+White Photography magazine is the champion of the black & white image. The magazine features stunning contemporary images from some of the finest names in monochrome photography and covers a range of genres including documentary, portraiture, still life, landscape and street. Each issue includes in-depth techniques, product news and reviews, plus readers are given the chance to have their work published by submitting their images via the B+W website. Black+White Photography is considered essential reading for anyone interested or working in the creative area of monochrome imagery.

Paid for app downloads include one issue of the user’s choice. Free app downloads do not include a free issue unless otherwise stated. Within the app users can also purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

The great fix of the month

When my iPad notifies me there’s a new issue of Black+White I can’t wait to read it. The editorials of Elizabeth Roberts were always very good. She was a hard act to follow and Mark’s editorials got off to a slow start but now I would never skip his editorial. The photographs, the interviews and the regular sections, especially Eye Phone Photography, are terrific.

to me this magazine of B&W photography, highlights the essential aspects of photos of the celebrated photographers of yesteryear, through the modern digital medium.

A great publication

I’ve been a subscriber for over five years. Love it. Love Tim Clinch, who writes two articles in each edition, plus Elizabeth’s editorials are always good reading. Plenty of styles of photography is showcased, so all tastes are catered for over a year.

A great b+w publication

I've subscribed to digital edition of the magazine for a couple f years now. The quality is consistently high and a wide range of different photographers are profiled so there is something for all styles of photographer.

Content is excellent

It's a great magazine. I've not found too many mags on b&w but this is a good one. The app works well enough. Don't be put off by people saying the app is poor, it's not. It delivers the magazine in good quality and works well. I think some people would like it to do more interactive stuff. And that's a fair request. But it's a request not a fault. This app works ok and delivers the excellent content in a professional way. What I like about this mag is that it tackles all types of b&w and doesn't just focus on one area. So regardless of if you like portraiture, landscape, street or fine art, you will find something to relate to.

Great magazine for your iPad

I used to really love the hard copy versions of this magazine, but I bought it erratically and missed many copies. Besides, what do you do with a pile of paper magazines? This, for me, is the best solution. Now I can keep up, without feeling guilty about the waste of paper.

Great Photography Magazine

The content of Black & White magazine is up there with the best and the app is intuitive to use. Highly recommend.

Great app/digital magazine

This is a great app allowing you to have many editions of the magazine with you. The best Black and White photography magazine available. Great when traveling, in a cave on your own, or stuck waiting anywhere and you want something useful to do to kill the time.
