Only one device can be logged in at a time so my partner and I can’t share this app even though we both own/use the car. Literally every day we have to log in with our complicated passwords (faceID and auto-fill aren’t allowed) which is just a pain if all I want to see is the battery percentage. Also the widget doesn’t display when you’re logged out so that’s basically empty all day every day. Oh, and doing anything on the app requires an Operation PIN which is different to the login password and is 6 digits instead of 4. This app is a nightmare

I am in Australia and vehicle positioning no longer works. The can’t find the car. I gave full access to navigation and others on my iphone but not workin. Even tried with my wife’s iPhone but doesn’t work.

The app has some useful features, and I know features vary between countries. I have a Seal Premium in Australia. I’d really like to see a small change in being able to update my cars icons to whatever colour I choose, rather than the default silver. My car isn’t silver. More comprehensively, I’d like to see the ability to unlock the trunk and frunk area through the app. Unfortunately the frunk is rarely accessed by many I’ve spoken to, because of the nuisance of having to go into the car and use the lever. If you’re already in the car, fine. But if you’re coming back from the shops, and want to chuck something in there - it’s easier to use the backseats or boot, rather than the frunk. And I hope that portrait Apple CarPlay is somewhere in development. Please please please give us more theme options for the drivers display. The current options are extremely limited compared to any other brands, with limited functionality. I need to see more customisation and more features like maps (even in the HUD). For the price of the car, the current drivers display is a bit disappointing. Thank you, these changes will go along way to retaining the premium feel of the car - but without them, I worry the car will not be comparable to others at its price point.

Still cannot select the colour of the car I own. Apparently you can for an Atto 3 according to the rather unhelpful outsourced support options, but the Sealion 6 is completely neglected. Very disappointing.

This car is great, but some of the software is very disappointing. The auto charging setup on the car always fails as it gets confused with 22:00pm - 17:45pm so it can charge at off peak times, but it never does. I always have to start it manually by turning the car on and off again. This app has almost no features, which is very disappointing as well. No NFC for the Dolphin. No ways to turn of DRL at all, which is very frustrating for camping. Who in the world wants their lights to be on the whole time, even if you want the inside infotainment etc to be on. Please fix these issues

Just like with features in their cars, BYD removes features from their app! Please bring back the ability to use dark mode, or, use whatever the user has set on their iOS device.

25/Oct/2024: It would be great to have the smart charge settings control from the app 08/05/2024: could we please have the vehicle location info in app. Also, send trip plan to vehicle. 13/Mar/24: could we please add the odometer readings in the app 17 February 2024: It would be nice to have the dashboard info such as odometer readings, environmental and battery temperature available in the app. Also, if possible to start or stop charging and smart charging settings control from the app. I’m having this issue, the app keeps logging me out on closing it

Love our BYD Sealion 6 and this app. But as stated previously Seating Position Memory is very disappointingly missing and could easily be add to each drivers cellphone and app. Come on guys support your BYD Customers and Fan base by adding this simple feature.

The app is ok I’m still waiting on fixes on some of the features. I can lock the vehicle but cannot unlock, turn AC on, turn on ventilated seats. One feature that I think would be useful is actually sending out a notification that the car is unlocked once you’ve been away from car for a bit. Instead you have to open the app to see if it’s locked. Just a thought.

Had my Seal for 22,000kms now and still so impressed with the car. OTA updates have also made some really positive changes too. However, the one feature that should be updated onto this app is adding “Driver Seat POSITION function”. My old Subaru could recognize up to 5 x driver profiles through facial recognition and set, seat, side mirrors and last settings for that user for radio and air con. Here’s hoping BYD can get this feature up and running really soon. Thanks BYD!!
