The main problem that I had when working on an animation was the bucket tool. It’s horrible. It won’t fill a closed area even if it’s completely closed without any gaps. The solution is always to go over the already perfect circle with another circle for the bucket tool to work. I don’t know why this happens but it happens and one of the most important animation tools is unusable. Please fix the bucket tool

It’s a great app, really easy to work with, but it crashes ALL THE TIME!!!! how are we supposed to work like this????

I LOVE how feature rich this app is! Particularly, truly excellent timeline flexibility “ripple editing” sheet lengths, cycle/linked sheets, *awesome* transform curve editor, drawing while my animation plays, linking with the iPhone app, and extensive export options to name a few things. The following are the only wishlist items I hope to see updated someday in order of preference: Either Drawing layers be the same as Transformation layers or Drawing layers have transform properties as well (position/rotation/scale/opacity), more keyboard hotkeys (specifically a keystroke for “Show only this layer”), if possible a color fill feature over multiple frames (like Blender’s grease pencil), effects (blur/distort/stylize), and when exporting to AfterEffects (that alone blows my mind) if the pivot/anchor points for each layer don’t reset in case my animation/AE project has Transformation or “Null” Layers, finally ProRes4444 with alpha channel export. But to reiterate, already a truly awesome app. Can’t wait to do more animating. :)

I’ve been paying for Callipeg for a while now and I’ve been doing the recurring payments. As I’m in a tight financial spot right now 8.99 a year was great for me. I can’t afford to pay $12.99 right now. I thought those payments would’ve been enough for that $12.99. thinking of just sticking with procreate

One of the best 2D animation software by far on the iPad platform, the interface is clean and intuitive. This software is made with passion and knowledge of the industry, the frequent reminder to backup file had saved me hours of work from crashes. especially love the recent switch to non-subscription payment. It really shows that the developers care deeply about their user base and isn’t afraid to make sacrifices for the best decisions. What an amazing find this app is.

I cannot draw

The first time I download this app, it told me that I had to pay actual money for this

This app is 5 out of 5. I think the only reason it is (currently) 3.6 is because it was shakier in earlier releases (I tried it two years ago). This is understandable though: animation apps are limited and new on iPad. It’s everything you need and is smooth. It also doesn’t let its own aesthetic get in the way either —ahem, Procreate Dreams. I love this app! Merci beaucoup to the developers for working tirelessly to make this app so pleasant!

This is the most feature-rich animation app on iPad with many considerations specifically for a professionally workflow from the beginning to the end of the process. With the addition of Callipeg Pocket and the remote feature, it just became even more awesome. If you’re wondering, yes, this is better Procreate Dreams (I regret not getting a refund for that when I had the chance). Much, much better. It’s also better overall than Toonsquid. But, I think that app makes a great companion in addition to Callipeg because of its vector capabilities.
