Having used Collaborate at Victoria Uni & Deakin Uni, I find Canvas infinitely inferior. 
Now at Swinburne I have to use this garbage.
There is a lot wrong with this popular (going by App Store) software. But I’ll stick to the most recent issue. 
 If you have to submit multiple files for an assignment, god help you should you forget one before you hit submit. 
Because you cannot just add one more file to your list. You will have to upload ALL of them again because the system just removes your previous submissions. 
Just had an assignment with 15 or so files and had this happen to me. 
Oh and you only get 3 tries to get everything right. 
If Swinburne was not the only Uni offering the course I want at a reasonable distance to me, I’d be shifting out of Swinburne right away mid year. 
There’s a lot wrong with Swinburne as well but that’s another story…

Basic function are all there. The UI is... Mediocre. Some are unnecessary. Such as the repetitive background in the dashboard. It's distructing. Need to consider the accessibility overall. The biggest pain point I have is reviewing teacher's feedback. I don't understand why it opens a modal. It limits the view. I need to scroll up & down and zoom in/out. Very annoying experience.
