Don’t bother with this app. It’s carouhell. Full of scammers and drop shippers. I’m Not even sure if there are many legit sellers anymore

Won’t let me delete account

I have only been on Carousell one day & did not like it. I don’t like that traditional payment methods aren’t available & I wanted to delete my account. People then messaged me about items while I was trying to delete my account, so I was “ineligible” to delete my account, which makes no sense at all. I also can’t deactivate my account because it hasn’t been seven days since someone messaged me. This app is the worst. Save yourself some grief & just stick with DePop. It’s better regulated.

Scams

This app has gone so downhill. So many different creepy perverts on the app. They harass you and will just create new accounts. You report them but then nothing is done and they don’t even block the user when you report them. Please beware! Especially kids!

Scams everywhere, buyers have to be very careful

Reported scam - said nothing they can help. Go to the police yourself, if no help gained from them then nothing gain from us too. Attitude is like: we don’t care how much money the scammer has took you, it’s none of our business. Reported counterfeit product - only allowed text descriptions in app and said there wasn’t enough information to confirm. Saying it would be helpful if I could provide screenshots but there wasn’t even a button to upload one. Expecting me to send a email just to report a counterfeit product? Even so, not any email address was left there. Overall, I really don’t find them trying to solve anything and they just don’t care what’s listed on their platform. Cool way to do a business!

annoying ad placements

your ad placements are so annoying!!! i can’t not tap on an ad every 2 mins

Used to be good

This used to be a great app, now it’s fulled with scammers and people selling fakes and dodgy underpaying jobs. All the groups are run by users who never log on anymore so there are never events. The app also won’t allow you to send a buyer your paypal email address so they can pay which leaves no way to actually sell. Customer service never follow up with anything. Very disappointed and much better apps to sell things out there.
