Catan Universe

Was really looking forward to playing the mobile version but soon found that the AI would not make any trades requested by my character. On top of this the pay to play style of the game ruins the fun of mobile playing.

The game is awesome. But if you have any problems problems you can’t have a fourth and back with an employee of the game. There’s no chat option in the game to contact anyone. You have to go to Catan universe support and send an email and the email options are few. Then the employees or game maker doesn’t contact you back quickly. There’s also glitches with the AI and game itself. Aside from these nuisances the game is really good and fun to play

Catan is horrible for the dice chances and the players are CRAZY! The first roll of the game was a 7 and I got attacked! ONLY ME! Not anyone else! JUST ME!!! I would rate it 0 stars if they would let me. Horrible, just horrible.

Such a great game and played the board game a lot. Moved to the app just over a year ago and it worked for a few weeks before the ‘big update’ which has effectively crippled the game. Since November last year every time I come back hoping the issues are fixed, but each time it doesn’t work. Today’s example is that when I log in it tells me my app needs to be updated, but mine is up to date and I even deleted and reinstalled it. Last week I was able to log in but multiplayer wouldn’t work at all…it’s just been a litany of issues. I don’t understand how the developers got this so wrong. It’s such a great game, but with over a year of issues it’s basically unplayable…i don’t normally write reviews, but this is just so frustrating after having payed for the expansions and all I got was about 2 weeks of functionality.

It’s always something with this App! The trades I don’t think that they ever worked properly. It would close the trade window by itself, it would disappear and it would freeze the whole game and now it would just show various trade offers on the screen, without you actually being able to accept any. Beside this issue, after the last update of the App, it would not rotate the screen anymore. Like you would have the screen rotation off, specially for Catan! Just fix the App and make it functional as it never worked 100%. It always had something, an issue big enough in order to make the game unplayable, or hard to play at one point.

App is great when it word, server is constantly overloaded making it very difficult to get into games, you also get kicked a lot.

Loved the app but last 2 updates intended to “make multiplayer more robust” have both resulted in multiplayer not working… Not sure if developers are having a laugh or just making mistakes but this ruins the user experience and would put you off the app

AI cheats. I have seen the AI player change road placement in next turn multiple times. Without any cards the player suddenly starts making roads and houses. Disappointed 😞

I play it with my friends and I would rate it 5 starts if it would work properly. As previously said by other players and still not sorted…especially when trades are being done, they either show as not accepted even though we know we accepted the trades or they are shown only for a split second and then you are left waiting for a response… overall you have to attempt many times until it actually allows the trade to be made. Would be a huge improvement on the game if someone would look into the bugs.

Has happened on more than half of the games I played, it keeps crashing, kicks us out of the game, “keep rejoining”, etc. even after having full working network.
