Contexto - 100 degrees

This game seems to be a rip-off of Semantle (semantle.com) which is a web based game using the exact same concept. Having now played both… Semantle is better. I’ll be sticking with that.

I've had it a long time but didn't play it much. It seemed simple but not like my other games so I had to think differently. Seems like I have to slow down and that's hard. I finally found a few words that help me get started and it feels amazing when I get the answer!! Im so glad I didn't give up! Im also glad that I waited to write a review😊

I’ve been playing this game for a while (before daily challenges and 1v1 existed). Not gonna lie it was fun, you’d get 1 joker per day and 3 anchors which kept you going, especially if you were playing for hours at a time. Then I updated the app to find daily challenges and 1v1 were added, it made a cool addition to the game. I updated again within the last week and it’s complete trash. The last regular level I got had the hint “your phones got one”. Tried everything I could think of before I finally got “wire” as the answer. Pretty sure most phones nowadays have more than “one”. But besides that, since I solved that level I can’t start a new level, there’s no daily challenge, and nobody to match on 1v1. Went from being my favorite game to the worst one on the App Store.

The words’ similarity is based on how much context they share, not if they are synonyms. If you know that it’s more fun. Other reviews need to chill

Is this some sort of AI logic? It certainly isn’t logical to a human, English language-speaking person. Ugh!

What ever the word is today it is explicit

It’s an addicting game (I do really like it) but I agree with other reviews. The algorithm throws me off. The hints are really vague; Is there really a definitive answer? Are they figures of speech? There must be some sort of strategy to figure these out besides thinking of the meaning of a word. Also, almost always the jokers are never a good help at all. I find myself typing the same words I see pop up as “hotter” every time I play a level or the daily puzzles (oasis, gazebo, garden, etc.) which always confuses me as to how because they’re never associated with the actual answer. If you thought the magician level was mind boggling, just you wait.

It’s a fun game sure but there’s so many words and SUPER vague hints so it’s very hard to make a good guess. It’s got a “joker” button that gives you a guess that’s closer than your previous guess but I’ve used them all. There’s an option to watch an ad for more but no matter how many times I push the button, restart the app, even restarting my phone the button just does nothing at all. It shows that I clicked the button by a slight buzz but nothing happens after pushing it, and when pushing it inside the level it’s just sends me back to the guessing page. I was completely stuck on level 5 “it’s a job” with the closest being “musician” and “dancer” both at 99%… took me over 130 guesses to get it right and I only got it after seeing the hint the developers left under a review. How on earth are those the closest words to “magician” ?!?

i love the idea of this game i think it’s super fun. but on level 5, i spent ENTIRELY way too long on that. it told me musician was close so i tried every single job i could think of in the music industry. & then dancer was close. tried so many different dance types (jazz, ballet, etc.), just to find out it was magician. another issue i have is that my joker button doesn’t even work? i click it to watch an ad for an extra joker but it doesn’t do anything. & i’m not getting any coins either so i’m stuck. this concept is super fun & challenging but definitely needs some work
