Good day.

I am Jenifer, an Auditor based in EY Taguig. I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a lending application and to request that the matter be properly investigated.

I received reports from a family regarding alleged harassment and other collection practices associated with the application. Upon reviewing the application and the loan documents, I also noted significant discrepancies between the amount reflected in the loan agreement and the amount actually credited to the borrower.

For example, the loan agreement reflected an amount of PHP 20,000, with repayment scheduled over three months including interest. However, upon approval, only PHP 2,280 and PHP 780, totaling PHP 3,060, were credited to the account. Despite this, the repayment obligation communicated to the borrower was PHP 5,100 within one week.

The substantial difference between the stated loan amount, the actual amount received, and the required repayment warrants further review. The interest and charges also appear disproportionately high compared with the amount actually disbursed.

In addition, I have received reports alleging harassment, threats, and the posting or disclosure of borrowers' identities and personal information on various platforms. If substantiated, these practices may raise serious concerns regarding applicable consumer-protection and data-privacy requirements.

I am therefore requesting that the lending company and its collection practices be properly investigated. There appear to be multiple individuals who have reported similar experiences, including alleged harassment and disclosure of personal information.

For transparency and verification, I have retained screenshots showing the loan agreement, the amounts credited to the account, the repayment terms, and reviews or complaints posted regarding the application. I am prepared to provide these documents as supporting evidence.

I am also elevating this matter to the appropriate authorities for proper review and action.
