CityMaps2Go – Offline Maps

Maps stop displaying about once a month. iOS 17 and now iOS 18 as well, iPhone 16 Pro Max. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app gets it working again but then I also have to reload all maps back in too. A bit of a hassle. Also, Data needs to be on momentarily turned on before the app will locate itself. Switching data off again is okay but this defeats the whole purpose of the app and having maps preloaded for offline use. These 2 issues have been happening for years. Is there any fix available please? Otherwise it’s a perfect app. Thanks.

I became fond of this app and have used it frequently since 2011. I came to rely on it when travelling. Now in 2024, it will not show maps on my iPhone whether I am online or not. I downloaded most of the Japan maps but after 1 day in Tokyo it ceased to function. Other parts of Japan and other cities, it still wouldn’t work after 2 weeks of trying. Thank goodness that google maps works reliably.

Don’t bother. Useless offline

I’ve used this app for years, but trying to get help is impossible, emails and “chat” function go unanswered. Great if search function was more accurate and told distances between saved places.

Disappointed

Offline maps stopped working on iphone, bookmarks don’t sync and search results are useless. Tried contacting support multiple times with no success. Disappointing app and support, switching to maps.me now

U have to select maps one by one even if your paid….Understand that is money sucker ways to let FREE USER to pay or maps…

Used to be a great app that i used all the time and worked really well offline Now it doesn’t even work online! Do not waste your money
