Code App is a MIT-licensed desktop-class code editor for iPadOS with built-in Node.js, Python, C, C++, PHP and Java runtime.

We built it because there is nothing else on the App Store provides all these features in one app:
* A robust, high-performance text editor (Monaco Editor from Visual Studio Code)
* Autocomplete, static code analysis and other language features for Python & Java
* First class local file system support
* Extensive local language support
* SSH / FTP remote connection support (Files and terminal)
* Embedded emulated terminal
* Git Version Control
* Package manager support (pip and npm)
* Markdown, themes, server-side snippet execution and more

Very slow FTP, almost unusable. Editor is quite good and have everything you need to edit on the go. But the remote connection via FTP is so slow that it ruins overall feeling about the app.

Lack of essential features like:
- autocomplete (at least for imports and class names)
- Javadocs, jdk sources

Sorry but I see no use for the app. I was thinking about a sandbox to try some small stuff when reading a book on Java. But without autocomplete and jdk docs it’s hardly possible

App does not support autocompleting for C++. If you compile with an error it will not allow you to compile after the error was fixed, you need to restart the application. It also doesn’t show problems in your project. It is genuinely bad and I won’t change my opinion until problems above are fixed.

Although has potential it is not too user friendly. Following the recent update I cannot find the execute code button anywhere. Also preciously I could have switched the code to server based execution (ex. Rust etc). Now i cannot find it either. For this app using python it is impossible to install so many modules it is very sad. For other apps on the ios I can install almost every single one. Here of the ones I tried less than half.

As for now, this app has to offer mainly a pretty UI, but its functionality się terrible. I can run Code once and I need to restart the whole app to execute my Code again. What is more, it does not provide you with any error Messages, it just does not run the Code.
