Complete Music Reading Trainer

This is a great way to learn how to sight read music notation. I’ve really increased in speed and learnt a lot. It’s also a great teaching aid that is really motivating. A great app and very good value for money. I highly recommend this for any musician. Particularly guitarist, like myself who spent many years missing many aspect of music theory and written notation. I wish this app existed years ago when I was learning to play. Don’t be chump. Use this app to learn notation and enter the exciting world of music theory, will really start to make a lot more sense and transform your playing and understanding.

Every other app works with my Bluetooth but not this, otherwise I would buy it.

After 3 months I can comment now….. I purchased this app as I wanted to read sheet music as I had started playing piano last year. This is a very good app to learn to read sheet music notation, as well as the notes in each key signature. It can be connected via Bluetooth to a piano midi, so you can read and play realtime, working on your speed of comprehension. This helps apply the knowledge directly. I gave the app 4 stars, as I think the app could extend more into music theory, such as different scales, rudiments within the key signatures and also add chords (allowing to recognise chords and their inversions). The app uses random notes in the training which is very good to ensure you are reading, instead of predicting the notes, but for key signatures, ending the random note lessons with scales with linear notes would help with the flow of hand movements. Eventually, on a future release, the app will allow to create custom lessons, which will be cool, so I could do this myself. However I don’t think I could for chords. I will continue using the app to improve my skills as it is simple and easy to use. This app isn’t a waste of time (like many out there) and it is working for me!

This would be the perfect app for piano sight reading too if there was a grand staff (treble clef above the bass clef) as if sight reading piano sheet music. I am also having trouble controlling the speed at which the notes move in the sight reading.

I feel like I’ve wasted so much time trying to wrap my head around notation. This app is inexpensive and incredibly effective. Thank you!

This is the best application for learning piano and music notes more than any of the apps in this entire store. I truly love all the work you have done! I can finally play the piano without paying a yearly subscription.

This app has been so great. I’ve tried other apps and flash cards but this is 100x better. I’m focused on piano: I wonder if the app could also include chords one day.

It seems like a good app, unfortunately it does not work with MIDI data from MidiGuitar 2, nor from MIDI Data from JamSynth , nor from MIDI data from A2M…….in essence it does not seem to recongnize any virtual port ( I also tried to create a bridge with Midiflow but again it does not show up as a MIDI output in Midiflow ). There is certainly a shortcoming in the code because other similar apps such as PianoNotes Pro seem to recognise any MIDI output you throw at it. So if you have an external controller it works ( I used it with a Yamaha Keyboard, an EWI and the Fishman TriplePlay Connect, and it recognises all of them ). My child’s Music teacher for piano told her that she should use this app,and I think it is very good for her. It made such an impact on my child’s piano learning notes. I love watching my child use this and start learning more about notes. Alicia

This app has the best user interface of all the music note trainers I have tried. The training modes are good, and the progression is a good pace for me. I’m focused on piano, so I’m glad the other clefs are available, but not forced on me. I wish the app displayed the treble clef above the base clef when using both. I also wish it kept track of progress from one try to the next so I could see my improvement over time.
