The sounds and gameplay are satisfying and I’ve enjoyed playing every level. The art style is beautiful too; the food looks good enough to eat! I’m looking forward to more recipes whenever you add them 💜

There are ads after you complete each recipe but it’s expected as every other cooking game like this does it. I just wish I could play it offline when I travel but other than that, the game is good :)

This is such a great game, but it gets very frustrating after a while. While I’ve seen others mention ads as an issue, personally I’ve found that I can navigate that by just cancelling the app after finishing a level, obviously not ideal but I’m fine to do it.

What’s frustrating is the way the gameplay is presented; there’s not a lot of consistency in logic between levels, so often you’re left frantically trying every item on every other item hoping something works before the time runs out. There’s also no other assistance other than getting a hint by either watching an ad, or spending 500 coins. But the hint tells you how to complete the entire section, rather than just the next step.
I think it would be great if there was a little pop up telling you the next step if you’ve not don’t anything for more than about 15 seconds.
It’s like the game relies on the player knowing how each dish would already be made to be able to know what to do next.
I understand there’s a learning curve to it, but it still makes the game less enjoyable when the things you did last level don’t apply to the current level.

Just a quick comment on one of the levels, 42, the BBQ Ribs: I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or just bad design, but the process of patting down the ribs with paper towels takes far too long; I can only put one towel on at a time and each of the three spaces takes like 20 towels. By the time I’ve completed that first step I have less than 60 seconds for the rest of the level; I haven’t been able to finish it yet, even with the extra 30 second time boost.

I think adding a sort of ‘zen mode’ would be great, for those who want a more relaxed play style instead of racing against the clock. It would also eliminate issues like the one above (though the paper towel thing was still very tedious).

I know this review has been mostly criticism, but I’m only bothering to leave a review like this because the game is otherwise fantastic; great art and animation, as well as sound effects. When you actually know what you’re doing the process of preparing the food is really fun. The cooking methods are surprisingly realistic too, and the food looks delicious.
This game has so much potential; with some revisions to certain technical functions and additional gameplay options, it would be amazing. I’ve gotten to level 42 despite my frustrations, so I would 100% play more if these were remedied.

I could see this being a very popular game. Relaxing and engaging. But the amount of ads makes this game unplayable. You can’t click next level without having a webpage pop up. And ads play before and after each level. I could see people purchasing whole themed content as it really does have so much potential. Game developer, take note.
