Again, don’t judge it by one experience or other people’s stories. I use it for ages and totally love it. Travelled to Singapore, Berlin, Belgium etc. and hosted even more.

Be accurate with the service! They use words “verify your account” to actually charge you $50, which was very not obvious & unfair.

That really something that creates a lot of stories. It has a lot of life inside.

How much apps with paid verification do you know? Verification for money spoils the idea of the verification itself. But couchserfing has paid verification for 65 € Just imagine what you can do with that money, but they don’t notify you that verification is not free, you just do it, they take your money and if you want refund - nobody cares about law, they just do what they want I tried to contact their support, but I got only templates of answers, now they just don’t answer Worst experience ever, especially considering what is the idea of couchserfing - connect people with no money, but with interest to other people’s culture.

Couchsurfing app is an antisemitic community who blocked the event for “Israeli hostages support” in Tel Aviv and the creator of the event. The meeting was not political, not asking for money, not selling or promoting anything but for moral support of everyone who cares. The creator of the event is a descent person without any bad reviews, who I personally met and know. This feedback is for everyone so please be aware.
