Das eigentliche Spielprinzip ist unterhaltsam und macht zunächst Spaß. Leider stellt sich nach einiger Zeit Ernüchterung ein. Ich bin inzwischen bei Level 195, ohne dass sich am Spiel irgendetwas verändert hätte.

Die Münzanzeige steht seit Beginn unverändert auf 300, es gibt keinerlei Möglichkeit, Münzen zu sammeln oder auszugeben. Die beiden Menüpunkte mit Schloss-Symbolen bleiben dauerhaft gesperrt und lassen sich weder anklicken noch werden sie irgendwann freigeschaltet. Ein Fortschrittssystem, neue Spielmodi, Belohnungen oder sonstige Motivation sucht man vergeblich.

Ich habe zusätzlich rund 9 € bezahlt, um die Werbung zu entfernen. Das funktioniert zwar, allerdings hatte ich erwartet, dass das Spiel insgesamt mehr Umfang bietet oder zumindest den Eindruck vermittelt, dass noch Inhalte folgen.

Momentan wirkt CubeAway leider eher wie eine endlose Aneinanderreihung von Levels mit ungenutzten Platzhaltern. Schade, denn das Grundprinzip hätte deutlich mehr Potenzial.
