## Daikin Airbase Description
Control and monitor your Daikin Ducted Air Conditioner from your iOS smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi or internet.
This "Airbase" app will provide the majority of functions already available via the Daikin wall mounted remote control panel.

Standard functions such as On/Off, temperature, fan speed and mode of operation are easily set or monitored via the App.
 
Additional functions such as easy set On/Off timers, Push notification,  Interactive setup wizard, Dealer contact details and maintenance functions are also provided.
Depending on the model of air conditioner, indoor and outdoor temperature is also displayed.
 
If a Daikin Zone Controller is fitted to the air conditioner, the naming and remote control of zone dampers is also supported.
 
The zone control functionality also requires the Daikin Air Conditioner to be fitted with a Daikin Zone Controller (model BRC24Z4A, BRC24Z8A, BRC230Z4A or BRC230Z8A) along with associated zone control dampers.
 
This application requires a compatible Daikin Air Conditioner fitted with Daikin Wireless LAN Connecting Adapter (BRP15B61).
 
The App and Adapter also supports Daikin light commercial (Sky Air) split systems such as under-ceiling and cassette models.
If the indoor unit has a swing louver function, the App will recognise this and provide an additional air flow direction button and indication symbol.

In addition, they are compatible with the Daikin Hot Water System.

Terrible connection between app and Wi-Fi module. It keeps disconnecting. It also happens a lot that it cannot find the air conditioner at all for a long time. Sometimes you have to leave it for the next day.

To make it worse, you cannot even program the air-conditioner through the app. You have to only use the on wall controller speech itself is a pain in the bum.

After upgrading from the Skyfi LAN adaptor, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, several issues remain:
• Slow loading times: The app continues to load slowly, and when accessing it away from home, an additional login confirmation is required. This seems unnecessary and adds an extra step.

• Missing outside air temperature: Following the recent update (version 1.3.0), the outside air temperature is no longer displayed, even though it was available previously.

• Continuous air issue: After installation, the auto continuous fan function remains active at all times. Despite correct programming (1b-2-03), the AC unit does not turn off, causing the house to become colder than the preset temperature.

What an absolute joke! How can Daikin embarrass itself with such a pathetic wifi unit?!! Constantly disconnecting, forever ‘not found’ and impossible to reinstall and have it working properly. I paid $14K for my unit, we can fly aircraft, put people on the moon but we can’t get a wifi unit working for a simple aircon/heating unit. Pathetic!

Tried for 30 mins on 2 different phones using the app instructions to set up the adaptor. After multiple failed attempts to connect to the adaptor I went to the Daikin YouTube to troubleshot and found the FIRST step is missing from the app - you need to turn off mobile data in settings prior.

Can I ask why you haven’t programmed proper scheduling rules? I also have a Mitsubishi system and their app has a beautiful interface for rules. The whole idea of an app is to do things easily. Using the thermostat interface at the wall is not for human beings. We live in a world of automation. Why can’t I write rules for say summer and winter and different days based on when I leave and when I’m expected to return. Unfortunately I can’t see a way to program the AP39723 otherwise I’d do it myself.

This app is SO slow and takes ages to load up the screen where you can adjust the controls. It should be the first option when you open the app. Also widgets should be available so I don’t have to open the app to change the heating of the house. 

The air conditioner is way too expensive for this terrible app. Seriously, needs to be fixed!

Please please please update the timer so you can set it for every day! I have to manually do it every night for the next morning, which is really annoying. I'm fine with putting up with the app being slow at connecting every time I look at it, and I love that you can connect remotely, but this timer bug is infuriating.

We have been using this app for over a year since getting our ducted zoned system and yes it could be slicker but it does everything we need it to do, we find it perfectly responsive and never had to reset/ reinstall. It has saved us having to get a separate control pad for each level, if we’re on another floor in our house to the main control we can just adjust it on our phone and have switched it off remotely many times when left the house and forgotten.
