## Darker Tides Description
6:00 am. Robe on, towel over your shoulder, ready for the cold plunge that sets up your whole day. One thing can wreck it: you get down there and the water is halfway out across the flats.

Darker Tides tells you before you leave the house. The next high or low, right on your home and lock screen, updating itself, no signal needed.

Here's the thing. At the bottom of the low it is more sand and rock than sea, nothing to actually get under. A proper plunge needs the water in. And an outgoing tide is the one that drags you further out than you planned. Show up at the wrong time and it is just you, standing on wet sand, the whole morning ruined. Worse is a tide app that wants your email, needs a signal you do not have, and hides the one number you came for behind three ads.

Darker Tides does one thing, properly: New Zealand's tides, at a glance, no faff. Check the widget for the next tide. Open the app for the full read, the next 24 hours and the next 10 days, for any of 88 spots around Aotearoa.
