There is very comprehensive help included in the app, such that it teaches you how to use the features without having to be an accountant, worrying about what the app is doing. I began by importing some bank transactions to get me started, read the help for the features I needed then began tracking my spending as I went. I have also shared the app with my spouse, so that we can both see what joint spending we are doing and ensure that we stay on budget. Very cleverly this app lets you optionally associate one or more locations with a payee, and it also allows you to tell Siri to create transactions. These are the days of increased privacy - this app has you covered there too. No data collection. As if all this wasn't enough, the developer is extremely responsive to help enquires, which is really nice to see.
