Deepstash: Smarter Every Day!

They basically get you in for free and charge you 32$ a month for some basic quotes they reformatted and book summaries you could get for free online. It’s not even worth 1$ a month.

I downloaded Deepstash with high hopes it seemed like a fantastic way to explore bite sized knowledge from books, articles, and podcasts. Unfortunately, the app quickly revealed itself to be more about profit than fostering learning or growth. While you can technically use the app for free, the experience is incredibly limited. To actually enjoy the full features or access most of the content, you’re pushed into subscribing to their Pro plan, which costs a staggering $89.99 per year. Occasionally, they run discounts, like $39.99 annually, but even then, the price feels excessive for an app that’s essentially curating knowledge from existing sources rather than creating anything new. What’s worse is the irony. Many of the books and articles they feature speak out against the very idea of monetizing knowledge and placing it behind paywalls. It feels hypocritical to read about the importance of open access to information on an app that locks most of its content unless you pay. The business model itself is also troubling. I’ve come across complaints about misleading subscription practices users being charged without proper notification or having difficulty canceling and getting refunds. This lack of transparency only adds to the frustration and makes it hard to trust the platform. Ultimately, Deepstash feels like a missed opportunity. The idea is great, but the execution leaves much to be desired. By putting a high price tag on knowledge and limiting access, they’ve alienated the very audience they claim to serve. Until they change their approach and make learning accessible to everyone, I can’t recommend this app to anyone.

Went through the app personalization to check it out and they charged my card for the full year I didn’t sign up this app is a scam

Got the free trial, it said it’ll send me a notification 2 days before it expires. Barely used the app, didn’t really get into it. Never got the notification, and they charged my account. Was a day too late to cancel and they refuse to refund my money.

They advertise this app as free with all sorts of information but you have to pay $8.99 per month or $99.99 per year in order to even finish signing up before you can see the app. I have reported the app for price gouging and for false advertisement. I don't reccomend wasting your time with Deepstashz

Really slow speed app

Trash app, nothing interesting to learn, and spams with notifications all day

The team has a great idea here but like many others I do not want to add a new subscription to my life. Sure I want to lessen the time I spend on social media but practicing will power is better for me and my wallet. Still there’s things I would like to have this app for just not under the subscription model. Do you think TikTok or Facebook would be so successful if they were paid subscription? Then why is this “competitor”? It’s like you don’t want to compete.

Charged me $110 for a membership I didn’t even want!! Unbelievable!!!

A great source for quick self help and coaching resources, however I am finding it to be shallow in conceptual frameworks otherwise. There are a lot of male authors, zero Indigenous works, and little resources on the societal perspective of diverse populations. I would love to see some resources in concepts we are all trying to understand, racism, social change, and embedding of worldviews that have been historically suppressed.
