Dive Log

I was recommended this app by someone in my diving club, I was not disappointed it’s fantastic with so many useful features compared to my free one I got with my aqualung computer. I would also like to thank Greg for his prompt & fantastic service when I emailed about a query of setting up the app to my computer. 5* I would highly recommend this app for all your diving log needs!

When I bought my Apeks DSX, no dive log apps supported it. I emailed Greg and he was more than happy to build support for the DSX into the app.

Generally not happy as all my logs got deleted once I switched the phone to a newer one. I am lucky I still had my old school paper logger and dive watch to roughly recover the amount of dives. Partially, my bad - I switched the Apple ID as well and didn’t save old backup. Partially, didn’t expect the app to be using local memory and not cloud. It’s 4 stars for great support provided by Greg. My situation is a corner case pretty much, people don’t change their Apple ID too often I reckon. Remember to backup guys and don’t delete your old backups. I am now using other app to log dives, let’s see how that works for me :) ********old review******** Hi team, Submitting a one star, while this may be my own issue, please get in touch: I have re-downloaded Dive Log after a while of inactivity and discovered all of my dives are gone. This is an issue because I was using this app as my primary dive log book. At the moment I am very saddened by this, but probably it is just some sync error (hopefully). I cannot find how to log off / log in in the app, I suppose the data may be at my different Apple ID but there is no way to check. Could you kindly help? Happy to put 5 star rating once resolved! Greg is a superstar - always replies to questions and suggestions. This is an amazing intuitive dive log with great statistical analysis and dive capture. I’ve put 1600 dives on this and everyone I show it to cannot believe how great it is.

I needed to get a new iPad log book as my old one (DiveMate) was no longer supported, as a result of which I thought I had lost access to my old data as well. I saw a recommendation for Dive Log in a scuba blog. Greg, the developer, replied to my email within a few hours, offered to reformat the backup from my old app, including extracting air in and out pressures from text fields so they could be used in Dive Log. The new file uploaded easily into Dive Log which is easy and intuitive to use and edit and I can now use Bluetooth to connect my Mares Puck Pro to add new dives. So, amazing customer services, helped me restore my old date and the App is easy to use. 5 stars from me every time. Many thanks Greg.

Post-Covid and back “on the dive bus”. I’d forgotten just how good this App is. Revisiting some favourite dive trips around the world and everything is in the log from before including geo-locations for some of the more obscure sites visited in the past. So easy to use and I’m glad I put the effort in to create the marine life library 4-5 years ago. A really, really good and well thought out App.

Such a brilliant app, although I still maintain a paper log to record ‘in the moment’ notes immediately after a dive, the DiveLog App is my main full record. I have been an avid user for the past seven years and it has evolved into a superb platform to comprehensively record all my diving activities. Thoroughly recommend this app to anyone looking for a way to electronically store their own dives

Its a update Wanted to thank Greg for explaining logbook functions. It was long email which took time to write and I really appreciate it. I did not know I can set up two logbooks within one app one for freediving and one for scuba. It is extremely useful and this is one more thing why it is so far best logbook from all have tried. I think it would be useful to point in app description that it can be used for freediving and two in one logbook. Also instructions how to set it up, I am sure I am not the only one not aware about all functionality of the app. Once more great app, thanks for creating and maintaining it. Received excellent and instant support from Greg, he managed to convert the Dive Manager 3.1 backup, all I needed to do was import the converted directly into the app. Very straightforward process, looking forward to using the app. Thanks once again Greg 😊
