Great app but what would take it next level is having the ability to add a Ecobee widget to the home screen so I know the temp without having to go to the thermostat or open my phone while working.

Every time I use the app it takes me 5 minutes to figure out how to put the thermostat into away mode. Why can’t there just be a button on the Home Screen? It’s 3 menus deep in the UI. Of course they make it easy to buy more stuff in the app, but not easy to use the stuff you already own.

Used to be great with my previous ecobee thermostat.
Now, every time you want to adjust the temperature in the house, it warns you that it will turn off eco “smart”, which means it won’t detect when the family leaves the house for the day.
You can adjust the temperature from the termostat itself without turning off eco smart, which literally renders the app useless.
Never buying ecobee again.
