Ellevest: Investing for women

I had to go to my bank to cancel it this. And I just realized it went from $1 to $5 WITHOUT my permission!!! Scam. Scam. I want all of my money back from June. They should be reported

This app outperforms any other investment app I’ve tried so far. My only gripe is that I have to update the app every single time I go to check on it. Push small updates without making me go to the App Store, or do larger updates less often. At the very least don’t have the app send my text code if I have to update before I can use it. Other than that minor nuisance, though, I 100% recommend Ellevest

This isn't a good app its to get us women to click give them personal information don't need your social to get peoples info my date of birth how much I make my address made two accounts keep saying I have to contact the support team makes no sense very very bad app don't trust it

I personally really regret investing with Ellevest. I have never seen an actually return on my investment in years to the point where now I plan to move my investment elsewhere. When I began that process on how to do this, it took such a long time to get anyone to respond to me. Even the robot virtual messenger was delayed in getting back to me.

Don’t use this app, the returns compared to other robo investors are abysmal after parking a few thousand here for 4 years. The company has purposely delayed the withdraw/movement of my funds which is consistent with other people’s experience as well. Additionally, the company was founded by a man, so there goes your by-women for-women angle.

Literally every single time I try to open the app, I get hit with a notification that it has been updated and I can’t log in again until I update my app. It is the single most frequently updated app on my phone out of dozens and dozens of app. What the heck is going on over there that requires infinite updates? Then it doesn’t accept my Face ID until I log in again and their password requirements are so weird compared to other banking sites that I can never quite remember what I used and have to look it up. Takes me like 5-10 minutes every time I want to use the app just to log in. I usually give up and just get on my computer. Most annoying app ever.

A waste of money. I really understand how to complete work the app

Poor performance and awful customer service! I wanted to support this company but the low returns and now $5 fee per month just is not worth it! This was a small account for me, the balance and monthly deposit size should have been considered before changing the fee to $5/month. I have 50X more funds in another investment account similar to this one that performs exponentially better AND only costs $3/month. Fees are too high, performance too low, communication about the change in fee was nonexistent in the app or via text, only sent an email which is not enough. Ellevest truly blows. Shame on the founder(s) for ruining such a cool concept and both losing funds of women who supported them AND charging higher fees than competitors without proper notification. Not worth it, wait for the next company to come around and execute this idea properly. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I used to be a huge Ellevest proponent in the past but the inability to quickly and simply contact anyone on the support team is infuriating. I’ve been attempting to link my bank account and gain access after being inadvertently locked out of my account for over a month. I’ve received no meaningful support or assistance, and it appears that the customer service team cannot be bothered to read the previous emails between myself and other members of their team. I’m so disappointed and disheartened - I used to truly love using this app and the services but I’ve unfortunately reached the end of my rope. I truly hope they get their act together in the future.

I’ve been trying to get my money back from this company as I use my roth IRA at a different company more. I don’t use this account anymore/enough to justify paying $100 in fees to keep it open. They have given me the run around and claiming I didn’t fill out the forms they have sent me FOUR times now. I filled it out from a desktop and filled out every section I am able to see, clicked the submit form button, and yet they claim I haven’t and won’t give me my money. And I’m starting to think I won’t see the money I invested ever again. This is a scam. Avoid.
