If you choose to purchase Emma Plus, Emma Pro or Emma Ultimate, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions are managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Apple ID. Emma subscription prices start at $4.99 CAD/USD/month with 1-month and 12-month packages available. Prices are  subject to change without notice. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. If you don’t choose to purchase Emma Plus, Emma or Emma Ultimate, you can simply continue using Emma for free.

Limiting yourself to plaid in the Canadian market hinders your customers ability to correlate all their accounts in one place. Look at Monarch for example that supports both fincity and mx and plaid. Expected more.

App worked great then it didn’t. Stopped syncing accounts/transactions. Trying renewing access, tried uninstalling/reinstalling several times to no avail. It’s been 2 weeks. Update 5h ago didn’t even address this. ☹️

I have Pro and this app works just fine for what i need it for 95% of the time - I only really use it to track spending by category, so take that as you will. The one thing I would really like to be able to do is to set up rules so that certain merchants/keywords automatically categorize themselves a certain way. It’s not the biggest deal in the world that the music store lists itself as “eating out” every single time no matter how many times I recategorize it, but it is pretty annoying and renders the automation aspect of the app useless, as I have to manually change almost everything anyway. (This seems like an obvious feature that should exist, so if it’s already in the app somewhere and I just can’t find it, I would love to know!)

I’ve tried twice to bring Emma into my life. Years apart. I just don’t like it. It’s so clunky, very poor UI/UX. Too busy trying to push their silly affiliate links and other useless information and somehow forget their main purpose - a budget app.

I love the idea of the app but it’s full of problems and no one seems to be able to solve them. I paid for the pro subscription but haven’t been able to properly use the app for several months now. I constantly have duplicate transactions, which you can exclude if you catch them. But I also had several missing transactions and now one of my credit cards isn’t updating at all. The last straw for me was my main banking account is now missing (deleted?). I have spent months going back and forth with customer service reps who take weeks to get back to me with no resolution. I’ve asked for a refund because the app is unusable but of course that was ignored as well.

I don’t know how come this kind of app allowed to keep the same hefty premium price for the extremely subpar experience of the app where most of the feature of the app is restricted to the different country. 
The things work for canada doesn’t work as expected. As the app is full of bugs. 

Their customer service deserves a special space as they are mostly useless. They tout fast service for pro user which is baseless claim  as mostly they hardly ever reply for days even after so many nudges.

I used use this app in UK and it used to work well. I moved to Canada, paid for their pro version but half of the banks I use are not supported by plaid and the ones that are supported gets disconnected every day. Poor experience

Since a long time ago Emma is not working well with Desjardins. Today  Emma cut the allowed bank account to a maximum of 2 with the free version. For a long time I’ve paid the pro version and I was still getting error and problems with things not showing up. I’m now an adept of mint and everything is working fine since I decided to try last year. Emma you should at least fix some major problems …

International transactions are mishandled: a transaction in euro was recalculated (why?) inverting the EUR price with the CAD price, resulting in applying twice the conversion rate…

At least 2/3 of subscriptions aren’t recognized as such…

### ****- "Doesn't work well with Canadian Banks. Full of potential."
The app itself is pretty good and feature rich. Just what I need. The only problem is that it does not play well with Canadian Banks. I have account with RBC and have to renew access daily multiple time a day in order to sync data. And when it does sync, it misses some of the transactions. I see the potential is there but until we have open banking implemented in Canada in its entirety, these problems will remain. Not app's fault and I understand that.

For a few weeks now synching with bank account has stopped working. Bank account password hasn’t been changed, so that’s really something on Emma’s part.

It’s a beautiful app that also works as a friendly budget planner but sadly, it does not work with all banks in Canada.

Secondly, where it does work, it does not sync the latest state of the accounts. At best, it only syncs the state from the previous day.

I downloaded Emma in early January and at first everything worked great, so I bought the Pro subscription. Within a week, however, it all fell apart. All 4 of the Canadian financial institutions I have business with failed to sync. I spent an amazing amount of time trying over and over again to sync them and doing what Emma Support said, to no avail. In the end, after WEEKS of frustration, only 1 of the 4 banks I do business with would sync. The other 3: nada. 

If you have any business with CIBC, MBNA or CapitalOne, avoid this app like the plague. It won’t link to them, and you don’t get a warning from Emma beforehand that your subscription is worthless if you do business with those banks. Nor are Support honest with you about it when you ask them for help re-linking. They don’t want to admit the app is incompatible with certain large banks, I guess. 

After a lot of aggravation, I convinced the App Store to refund my money, but that’s nearly a month of my life lost to Emma I’ll never get back. On the other hand, my sister does all her banking with RBC, and the app works fine for her. I guess she was lucky and me unlucky.

### ***** "Finally! An Expense Tracker That Works!!"
Fantastic application. The app does RCC what it says it does and looks good while doing it. There’s a scarcity of expense tracker apps that are equally as efficient as they are easy to use. The only suggestion I would give is for the development team to constantly update the accounts that be added to Emma. For example; Questrade, Brim Financial, Neo Financial, Blockfolio & Worry Free Mortgage are accounts that I use that aren’t currently on Emma. Other than that, the app is almost perfect. Great job guys and girls.

I’ve been holding out hoping that updates would fix all the issues that have been going on lately because I really liked this app when I started using it. When I check my settings it says all my banking information was working but it hasn’t been refreshing my data in over months. I’ve mostly kept the app up for the trivia but even that isn’t worth it anymore. 
I hope the issues get fixed but im deleting the app for now as it’s just taking space up on my phone.

I purchased the Emma app earlier this year. The credit card we had would not link so we spent the next few months making our own budget to pay it off to get one that would link. We got the new one and it won’t link. I have been in contact with Joel from Emma and he said we would have to go through Apple. I purchased it through a different company that said we had to go through Emma. Now they are not getting back to us. Waste of money!
