This alone is really pushing me to find another energy provider. I have never despised a company before they have even provided a service before…until now. I tried to set up fortnightly payments, so they requested permission to charge <blank> per fortnight. 🤦🏽 And they only did it for gas. I couldn’t access account for a month because they had a typo in email- but they couldn’t tell me that for security reasons. So for a month they sent account emails and login emails to someone else. I paid an invoice and 2 weeks later paid it again because the total owing wasn’t updated. I contacted Energy Australia and told them the app doesn’t work and the payments are not reflected in total owing. They said “we know it’s an IT issue and payments are delayed on the app. They refused to refund the additional payment. It’s now been 3 weeks since my initial payment and 1 week since my additional payment and neither are reflected on the app. Sorry Energy Australia, 3 weeks is not a delay, it’s nonsense. Today I will be closing accounts with them and going to another supplier. And of course by doing so will receive my refund as they will be legally obliged to issue it. The retailers must all get the same info from the energy providers so not sure why such a lag.
