## Falling Fruit Description
Falling Fruit is a community-driven platform for sharing locations of edible plants and other sources of free food. You can discover what others have been harvesting in your area and contribute your own observations.

We aspire to provide the world's most comprehensive and open foraging and freegan map. Since our launch in 2013, we have been collecting locations from app users, as well as from hundreds of community, university, and municipal datasets. Today, the map hosts millions of locations in thousands of cities covering thousands of edible types (fruit trees, berries, nuts, herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, dumpsters, and more).

Our mobile app offers the same core functionality as our free website, with refinements and native interfaces designed specifically for phones. A small price for the app helps cover the project's costs, and all proceeds go to Falling Fruit, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

Falling Fruit is not associated with Fallen Fruit. Fallen Fruit can be found at fallenfruit.org.

## Falling Fruit Reviews in Vereinigte Staaten

### ***** "Works well for me!"
Idk why everyone is out here hating lol, the app has been working great for me and has a lot on it!!
-- ndbk99, 2026-05-14

### *---- "Unusable"
I was already annoyed I had to make an account but it won’t even load anything. The old website worked way better even on mobile.
-- I am determined to post this, 2026-05-08

### *---- "Don’t waste your money"
Good concept but it’s severely outdated. Came across a lot of post from 2013. It’s 2026!!!
-- Honestrevier28, 2026-03-01

### *---- "App won’t open"
I want to love this but it crashes before you can log in
-- Somethingfunnyandcreative123, 2026-01-19

### *---- "Doesn’t respond"
I paid money for an app that doesn’t respond. It says my gps isn’t working by all my other apps disagree.
-- dcthot, 2025-09-03

### *---- "Can’t even register!!!"
Just a brilliant idea! Why aren’t you keeping up with it???? There are ever more hungry people, including me! I’d love to forage. Please get it running 🙏🌷
-- HappiNance, 2025-06-22

### **--- "More filter options please"
I really think it should have filter options like… filter out all the dumpster diver posts… and it be a setting that saves. I personally don’t want to eat anything that risks having discarded glass or needles… and I don’t particularly consider this foraging. I want to know things like where people saw onion grass, dandelions, or pawpaws… not where people found half eaten bagels… 🤢
-- MomoTheKemono, 2025-04-01

### **--- "So much potential but barely usable"
The descriptions atleast need coordinates or some some way to identify where the fruit is. Great idea but bad execution
-- Kgibs19, 2025-03-31

### *---- "Terrible UI"
Save yourself the money it doesn’t work
-- Rottenfruit99, 2024-12-29

### ****- "I believe this will be more popular soon, it has so much potential"
This app is clearly a bit outdated, you can see many listings from 2013-2014. But I have a theory, stick with me, that this app will blow up again. With the rise of interest in environments, nature, foraging, etc, this app would honestly be so effective and helpful for more digital-dependent foragers. I’ve seen this around, and I think I’ll see more soon hopefully. This app has so much potential.
