Find My
View the location of your Apple devices, locate items you’ve attached AirTag to, keep track of Find My network accessories, and share your location with friends and family in a single, easy-to-use app.
Features
View the location of your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, AirPods, devices in your Family Sharing group, AirTag or Find My network accessories on a map, and get directions to their locations in Apple Maps.
When you can’t find your nearby device, AirTag or Find My network accessory, play a sound to pinpoint its location. Get the distance and direction to your AirTag or AirPods Pro 2 with Precision Finding.
Keep track of personal items with AirTag and Find My network accessories, and share these items with up to five other people. Everyone in the group can use Precision Finding to pinpoint the location of a shared AirTag when nearby.
If your missing device, AirTag or compatible third-party accessory isn’t nearby, the Find My app can still help you track it down using the Find My network. It’s all anonymous and encrypted to protect everyone’s privacy.
If you lose an item, you can temporarily share its location with others — including airlines — to help you find it. Simply share item location in the Find My app. Sharing automatically stops when you are reunited with your item and expires after seven days.
Show Contact Info to lock the screen and display a message, or erase them remotely to protect your data. AirTag and Find My network accessories can also display your contact information to anyone who finds them.
Use the People tab to share location with friends and family so you can keep in touch, coordinate, or know when a family member has arrived home safely.
Meeting up with people in person is now easier too. With iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro or later, you can use Precision Finding for directions that lead you straight to the person you’re looking for, whether at a park, a restaurant or even a music festival.
If you’re on an adventure without mobile service or Wi‑Fi, you can use Find My on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro or later to share your location over satellite.
On Apple Watch, use the Find Devices app to view the current location of your Apple devices, Find Items to keep track of AirTag and Find My network accessories, and Find People to share your location with friends and family members.
Some features are not available in all countries or regions.

Very buggy

It’s very hard to get this app to refresh. I always have to kill it multiple times and reopen it. It’s been this way for years. Apple apps are getting worse and worse. What’s keeping people here and not switching to Android? The list is shrinking.

AirPods won’t fully “setup”

fcardoza044 on

I try and connect my AirPods every single time and I keep getting the same exact error saying “AirPods setup Incomplete ” I have never had this problem with AirPods before in my life but I know these AirPods work because they’re the latest ones with ANC and should have no problems but nope apparently they can’t even “setup” correctly thanks Apple

Yesterday my grandson lost my phone. I opened Find My on another phone and it no longer gives you the option to have your device play a sound! This used to be such a help when searching for a phone that might have fallen behind or under something. PLEASE FIX THIS! RETURN THE ABILITY TO PING MY DEVICES!

Really good.

I have had this for 2 yrs so i feel i am qualified to review. It was never found air tag unless basically at my feet. We live in neighborhood with cell service, wifi and cable and Find It has no idea where the air tag is, even if just next door. I have received notices that the air tag was left behind in different cities when i know it is sitting on my nightstand at home. Gave 1 star cuz at least it will tell you if you are going to trip on the item.

Location sharing removed “Always”

Xuxi3AM on

Location sharing has changed to only while using the app. This is causing the locations to not work real time or loading delays. We used to have an always sharing location option that is no longer available.

AirTag location is different between iPhone and iPad are different. Makes finding lost items extremely difficult.

recent issues

Bking10 on

I have recently noticed that street name labels no longer ‘line up’ properly with the streets on the map. they appear to be on a ‘different’ plane (level) so panning the map causes the labels to drift from one street to the next, and they do not seem to be scaled correctly. also: zooming in past a certain level causes street name labels to disappear completely so you must zoom out to see them again, and they may or may not be correct.

Lost AirPods

I lost my AirPods and I was trying to look for them everywhere where it was last seen but it was not there.I tried refreshing the app to see if the location would refresh and show me where it is now but it just kept saying last seen 2 hours ago.
