## Find My Description
Find My lets you view the location of your Apple devices, locate items you’ve attached AirTag to, keep track of Find My network accessories, and share your location with friends and family in a single, easy-to-use app.

Features

View the location of your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, AirPods, devices in your Family Sharing group, AirTag or Find My network accessories on a map, and get directions to their locations in Apple Maps.

When you can’t find your nearby device, AirTag or Find My network accessory, play a sound to pinpoint its location. Get the distance and direction to your AirTag or AirPods Pro 2 with Precision Finding.

Keep track of personal items with AirTag and Find My network accessories, and share these items with up to five other people. Everyone in the group can use Precision Finding to pinpoint the location of a shared AirTag when nearby.

If your missing device, AirTag or compatible third-party accessory isn’t nearby, the Find My app can still help you track it down using the Find My network. It’s all anonymous and encrypted to protect everyone’s privacy.

If you lose an item, you can temporarily share its location with others — including airlines — to help you find it. Simply share item location in the Find My app. Sharing automatically stops when you are reunited with your item and expires after seven days. Share Item Location recipients can open shared links directly in the Find My app to play sound and, on supported devices, use Precision Finding to location lost items when nearby.

Put your Apple devices in lost mode to lock the screen and display a message, or erase them remotely to protect your data. AirTag and Find My network accessories can also display your contact information to anyone who finds them.

Use the People tab to share location with friends and family so you can keep in touch, coordinate or know when a family member has arrived home safely. You now have a new option to share location for a custom duration — for a number of minutes, hours or days — or set a date and time for when sharing will stop. This makes it easy to share location while attending an event, or for a long weekend getaway. You can also pause location sharing until the end of the day for specific people, so you can shop for an anniversary present or turn up to a surprise party without giving the game away.

If you’re on an adventure without mobile service or Wi‑Fi, you can use Find My on iPhone 14 or later to share your location over satellite.

On Apple Watch, a new unified Find My app replaces the Find Devices, Find Items and Find People apps. The new Apple Watch app’s map-centric user interface makes it even easier to locate friends and family, devices and items. The Find My app offers access to key actions, including getting directions, finding devices and items when nearby, prompting a device to play a sound, or viewing contact information. You can now also use Precision Finding in the Find My app to help locate your paired iPhone or AirTag (2nd generation).

Now I am very good with keeping track of what is mine. Three days ago, I had used my airpods. I made the mistake of not placing them in my case when I was done. I didn’t use my airpods for another two days until I realized I had to charge them. I went to put them back into the case when I noticed my right pod was missing. I used this app to track the airpod. Turns out; the app was telling me that my airpod was somehow magically in another neighborhood I have never entered in ages and I was not using my airpods outdoors when this had happened. I visited the location, the app told me it was there: i couldnt find a thing. The craziest part? The airpod was still acting as although it could connect to sound. I was going crazy trying to figure out how this airpod could possibly be at someones house that I have never been to. Turns out; that wasnt true! No shock to me, the app was wrong. The airpod was literally in my house. Had this app been able to do what It was literally designed to do, i would have been able to skip all that extra work. Really inaccurate.

This app is very helpful and I enjoy using it with my family and friends.  I gave this a a two star because I am disappointed that this app changed its map. I don’t agree with changing the name of Lake Ontario because of one man.  This is a historical Lake and changing the name should be done with congressional debate and approval not just on a whim.
