Will no longer load on iPhone or iPad. You see a screen for a split second, then the app shuts down. Frustrating for an app you are paying for.
Update: Summer 2024 Apple pull this app from the store!! The url for Inciweb isn’t even correct anymore. I opened it to see if it’d be worth it to get the pro version again. The fires from last year are listed, and with mid-summer status at that!! It is useless, and STILL it is on the App Store with buy buttons activated. Developer—do the right thing. Either get another Dev that can & will keep up with the ever-changing IOS ecosystem, or pull the app from the store. This app used to be great. So good, I opted to pay the $14.99 per year. It combined fire data from multiple sources into a single app. Being near fire country, it was the best I had found. However—these days the app’s maker is content to take our money and deliver nothing. It no longer works at all. Hasn’t, since 2021. Nobody updates it. At this point Apple needs to pull it from the store and refund our money for the past two years. If you live in fire country, steer clear of this app. With what is going on this summer, the app maker’s behavior is utterly shameful.
I’m a new user, and the NFIC tab does not populate/report any fires. The tab opens the map, but the entire map shows no fires - which is currently incorrect.
When an entire town in NM can be evacuated due to wildfire yet not show up on this map, I lose faith in its veracity
Has a terrible lack of information. Completely misses most fires.
This app could be great but it needs to supply more information more often. Better than nothing, but far from great.
app no longer works. it immediately closes out. hope the developer fixes this bug
We had 19 fires started around us 2 days ago and none of them showed up! People are being evacuated as a level 3 and I don’t know why they don’t show up.
I’ve used this app for a few years. It provides a wealth of information in a very timely manner. That’s very much appreciated. There have been well documented problems with Inciweb itself from which this app pulls a significant amount of its information. When that happens this app can reflect that, at least in the past. Also (in 2023) this app was non functional for many months for unexplained reasons. The developer has a website, but there was no information about what was going on with this app there. That situation enabled this user to assume the worst and ultimately delete the app from all devices even though I’d been a “Pro subscriber.” About once a week or so I was checking back to see if the app had been updated since there is no better app out there. Today, Monday, August 21, 2023, I was relieved and very pleased to find the app updated and working as expected — which is extremely well. We have 3 significant fires in our area now which, depending on wind direction, can inundate us with dangerous (for us) levels of smoke. Having all the information available to us in such a timely manner is vital. Thank you developer(s) for updating. In the future please put any information about any difficulties you may be experiencing on your website so your users can know what’s going on. You have the website. Use it!
