Flashcards is just brilliant. You can do EVERYTHING you want and need it to and more. It is fully adaptable to any requirement and I come back to it again and again. If I had one criticism it would be that you have to dig about a bit to work out how to set it up exactly as you want, but the simple fact that you can set it up as you want is worth a little effort. If you get really stuck you can alway message the developer who will help you out in no time.

I’ve used this app for a decade at this point. It’s amazingly powerful and the author deserves every success. With zero embellishment, I couldn’t have done my degree in Japanese without it. I particularly like that you can study bi-directionally, including writing and spelling practice.

I never write reviews, but this app is so good I just had to. I can’t believe it has so few reviews. I have just started using it to learn Chinese and already my recognition and recall of phrases has gone through the roof. It is so easy to flag whether you know a word or not and using spaced repetition you will see the ones you know less frequently. The ability to include sounds and pictures on the cards is invaluable for trying to get to grips with pronunciation in Chinese and to learn a few important characters. Best of all, it is really simple to upload a whole deck of cards from a spreadsheet. At only £3.99 it is an absolute bargain!

Very complicated Half an hour spend and still some samples and settings no content Waste of money

I cannot find any comprehensible instructions so that I may create my own deck. The instructions on the makers website so not match what is on my iPad screen, so I presume they are out of date. I am disappointed. Hoping for a refund.

I've been using the mobile version of this app to help me learn Japanese for a couple of years- and it's fantastic. In my view much easier to use than Anki and a lovely slideshow mode that will play your cards to you, which I use a lot. It's also easy to make audio visual cards with LLN from anime and drama. Thank you for such a great, flexible app.

Wonderful, app, great import options and multi side cards, with pictures cleverly loaded… Small extra feature I fancy is some method to automatically do subsets of your cards but focussing on the ones you’ve been getting wrong? Anyway fabulous and recommended. H I got written this it sounds like it has this feature, but I’ve not found it!
